   Mediocre meal. The fish was nice but it came with virtually nothing...a smudge of butternut squash and about 6 sprouts! Asked for a little more squash and received a tiny dessert spoon size saucer. Need to order some sides for a decent meal.

   Excellent food. Friendly helpful service. Will definitely go again. Lovely to have a restaurant we can go to with our dog.

   Excellent services, good recommendation of wine but the dish we chose was not that great this time so felt a bit let down.

   We got put in the back room (Oyster Room). Was nowhere near as nice as the front room and was quite cold. The lighting, atmosphere, etc, was far nicer in the front room. We would definitely come again as the staff were very welcoming and Paul pur waiter was great. We would just ask for a table in the front room.

   Last minute booking for Birthday. The service was excellent, we were very well looked after in the Party room. Food was great, fresh and excellent value. We were looked after brilliantly by all the Staff who went above and beyond. Will definitely be returning

   Unfortunately the value for money is terrible. The atmosphere was good, attentive staff. However food was so underwhelming. We ordered three starters, the scallops lacked salt, we were given a broken salt grinder, which after asking for this to be replaced, came back to us saying "no look, it does work". No, it did not. Was that the only salt grinder in the restaurant? I had to unscrew it to get some salt out. My partner ordered the fish and chips to which we were told they would check if "they had been able to get some more of" implying someone having gone to the shop to buy more fish? I would expect a fish and seafood restaurant be sourcing their key ingredients correctly, not from a supermarket. The portion was tiny, not worth £19 The portion of the sides we're laughable, £6 for dauphinoise potatoes, no larger than a mince pie. Ordering the wine, we we're encouraged into ordering 2x250ml, which was frankly unnecessary, just conveys "please spend more money". Overall very disappointing, expensive, quality is honestly very questionable, lacked flavour. We will not be coming back. Such a shame as the actual venue is well decorated and inviting but sadly what you see is not what you get.

   We arrived at the time of our booking and were told our table wasn’t ready yet, so we were seated out the back in the ‘octopus’ room which was empty and with no atmosphere. Lovely food, but they didn’t have two of the starters we ordered, and the food took a very long time to arrive. Our booking was at 7.30 and the starters didn’t arrive until nearly 9pm. They did give us a complimentary drink as way of apology. Food was delicious when it came.

   This was a fantastic venue and made for a delightful romantic meal out for my partner and me. Although a small space, the ambience was great and there wasn't too much noise even though busy. The staff were all lovely to us, and provided excellent service - friendly, attentive, and helpful. Our food was overall very good, and drawn from a generous and imaginative menu. My prawn cocktail to start was a good portion, and the seafood linguine main was rich and spicy, although the squid in it was rather overcooked. My partner reported her starter to be the best scallops she'd ever eaten, and was likewise full of praise for the skate wing main. The wine list was excellently curated, and our accompanying bottle of prosecco was sensational and very reasonably priced for a restaurant. A great experience and would love to come again.

   We had a wonderful evening in Flute - beautiful food and cocktails plus excellent service from Will. I loved the fact that there were several dairy free options to choose from. We will definitely return. Highly recommended!

    Friday is specials day and so on the menu was a nice sea bass fillet and a whole sea bream waiting with our names on them. Beautifully cooked and presented and friendly staff to look after us. Our first visit will definitely not be our last.
