   We had another GREAT experience at Flor Fina this weekend. Mikey, as usual, is a fantastic server and took excellent care of us! The Pan-Seared Halibut was one of the best meals I have ever had! Highly recommend! We sat at the bar and had Alexis work some of her magical cocktails up for us! Also, I highly recommend it! It's such a great place with a great vibe and fantastic food!

   For a Valentine’s meal, it was extremely loud with multiple types of music playing at once. It was impossible to carry on a conversation.

   The food was average at best, and the portions were tiny for the price of the meal. Me and my valentines date had a three course meal package and they were out of 1 of the 4 appetizer options, and the $220 chateaubriand FOR 2 was only four slices of meat. And then for dessert one of the two options was out of the ice cream that was described on the menu. At least you would imagine the ambience was nice, however there was a wedding or some party going on just down the hall with the doors open so we could hear all the music. Not the best date night spot.

   We were not seated until 30 minutes after our reservation and then once seated, were not even served water or the evening’s starter for another 30 minutes. The ambience was beautiful, but for what is considered fine dining, I would say that it was just that…FINE, as in passably okay.

   One of the worst valentine’s experiences with terrible service and the food was cold when it was brought out. Our reservation was at 8:15 and they didn’t sit us until 840 pretty ridiculous experience overall. Waiter did a awful job with attendance and didn’t even explain the so called experience

   Good overall was good but not worth $115 per plate that game with a soup and salad. I know it was a holiday and we expected to pay more. But this should have been more in line at $75 each.

    What could be a really great restaurant is held back by some weird management choices. We patiently waited at the (empty) host stand for a few minutes before our reservation time. Finally a manager came out and coldly told us that the restaurant didn't open for another 4 minutes so they would be with us when it did - this is despite the fact that their website says their hours are from 11 am on and that there was very clearly a table of four in the restaurant that appeared to at least have cocktails. When I turned around to go to the hotel lobby to wait it out, he then changed his mind and said "We can seat you now but no one will be taking your order until we open because they literally cannot press buttons on the ordering system until five." It was a really weird way to speak to guests. We weren't being rude at all, we would have been fine to wait at the table for four minutes anyway, and we had literally no idea the place wasn't open already. On top of that, we were charged 2.5% for using a credit card to pay for our meal, which is kind of baffling in a nice place in 2025. Just really weird choices from management. Our server and server's assistant were lovely, the drinks and food were pretty good, but things overall were soured from the first moment to be treated. There's plenty of other nice places in Tampa where you'll be treated like a guest instead of a nuisance.
