    This was my first time here. I’m from Pittsburgh, PA and I come to Detroit to visit family at least 2-3 times a year. I been looking for a good soul food spot here in Detroit and I think I found it. Food was good. I had the fried deviled eggs for an appetizer which was delicious. My main coarse was fried chicken which was seasoned good, collard green and Mac n cheese. The Mac n cheese noodles was a little over cooked but the cheeses used to make it made it still taste good. The only complaint I have is our server. I wouldn’t really call it a complaint but we had to wave our server down to take our order. After we got our appetizer she didn’t come back to check on us to take our order. Other than that everything was good. I would definitely recommend and will definitely be back.

    This was our first visit and we enjoyed everything that was ordered! Fried Chicken, Oxtails, Mac &cheese, yams, greens,& black eyed peas. Our server Chyna was fantastic and such a sweetheart! We will return!🥰

    Food and service was great as usual, I always get the oxtails and this time I tried the red beans and rice, and they did not disappoint. This was my third time dining at this restaurant and as usual I was satisfied.

    Today was my second visit within the same week! The first time was lunch with 2 friends, next was lunch with my husband. The food and decor are reflective of native Detroiters and many of our southern roots, even if we weren't actually born and/or raised in the south. The service is excellent! Fixins is a great addition to Detroit.

    My friends and I enjoyed our food and our waitress Taylor was great. I’d recommend this restaurant to anyone especially if you’re looking for a good southern meal.

    Meg our server was excellent and I will definitely ask for her again! The food was delicious with servings needing carry out containers. The music was added pleasure. Fixins must be visited!

    The food here was great. There were some misses(fried green tomatoes) but everything else was tasty. The service was not the best. Being short staffed is completely understandable, however we were barely checked on throughout our dine in experience while other tables were constantly being checked. Overall, I would come back here to try new things off the menu, hopeful that the service will improve.

    EXCELLENCE! Service (Chyna) & food were wonderful & BOTH dominated our conversation! We conversation stop talking about it. Chx & waffles, greens, mac & cheese, and the PYT cocktail. 😋 Food, decor, music- the space was ALL a vibe... just what we were looking for! Thank you FIXINS! We'll be back with friends.
