   This was my 3rd visit in 6 months to First Mile Kitchen. I’m sad to report that my overall impression from each visit is the same.. underwhelming and over priced.. this is sad because the service each time as excellent and the ambiance great! But the food is so-so. It’s as if each plate is overthought and the attempt is to make a gourmet dish with a variety of spices, sauces etc. but the end result is average tasting food for a PREMIUM price.. and, the wine selection is bland and limited.. probably won’t be returning unless it’s a private party invitation..

   Had crab and lobster Rangoon to start then Oscar style filet. Excellent cut of meat and great flavors. Great wine selection

   They keep downsizing the salmon in the salmon salad. It’s certainly not worth $26 anymore.

   Both my husband and I ordered very delicious selections. He had the Brisket Beef Burger, I had the Chicken Salad stuffed Avocado and we shared a bowl of the Leek Potato Soup. Really outstanding! We’ll definitely be returning.

   The last two dining experiences at First Mile haven’t been great, I’m sad to say. It appears that the kitchen can’t keep up when the restaurant is near or at capacity. Service is very slow. I will wait a bit before I return again.

    Had an excellent first-time experience for the Christmas Eve Holiday Prix Fixe menu. Incredible service and atmosphere. Oysters were inhaled, short rib was ten-der. It felt like the most cozy hug. Thanks for making our holiday/birthday experience so wonderful.
