    It makes me so sad to post a negative review, but… We, myself, husband and 17yr old daughter, arrived at 7:20p for a 7:30p reservation. We were not greeted for about 15min and our order was not taken for 30min. We ordered 2 spicy crab pastas and I ordered the crawfish and grits. I knew we were in trouble when the tables on each side of us, that were seated a good time after us, got their food and we still had nothing. I asked for a cup of gumbo and it came out promptly and was decent gumbo. At 9p our food showed up and we were brought two Evangeline pastas and my crawfish and grits did not look right. When we let the waitress know we had ordered Spicy crab pasta she said the kitchen was closed. The brought out one spicy crab pasta and again said so sorry the kitchen is closed. The spicy crab pasta looked and tasted like they threw some cream in a pan and added Tabasco to it, and poured it over fettuccini. My daughter ended up eating the Evangeline pasta, and my husband picked through the Tabasco pasta. My crawfish grits were not much better, the onion, and bel peppers were almost raw with a very liquidy cream sauce, but the grits were very good. Someone’s did come to the table and apologize and said the meal was comp’d, that was the last time someone came to the table. We are so disappointed, as we had been looking forward to this restaurant. My daughter said as we got up to leave, “ this is so awkward, do we just leave?”. So we literally got up with all our plates still on the table and left. Still not sure what happened as the restaurant was not very busy when we got there, about half full.

    The Pasta Evangeline was wonderful, lots of garlic and shrimp. The fried okra was the best we’ve ever had and was a great appetizer. A great choice for a delicious meal.

    Do not trust the online menu. They do not have a filet, bacon wrapped shrimp, or a catch of the day for dinner. Other than that it was a great dinner.

    The food was beautiful aesthetically, but we had to add salt and pepper to bring out the flavor. We enjoyed it. They have a very beautiful courtyard in the back.

    Group of 5 dined there. The waiter was nice so was another that took photos for us and asked if we needed things. As for the food, it was quite mediocre. Our group had the seafood platter, jambalaya, alligator, gumbo, and fried crawfish and pickles. All of the fried foods were dried out with not much flavor.

    The app and entrees were fine, There were a few issues. Being seated at the front table meant that guests waiting for tables were clustered right next to us. Combined with the draft every time the door opened, it made for an uncomfortable experience. Our waiter never asked us if we wanted coffee or dessert and just dropped the check after clearing our entree plates. As we told the restaurant it was a special occasion, we expected better. I suspect they never read the notes on the reservation. We won't be going back. Nor will I recommend the place.

    Enjoyed our brunch. The fried pickles and crawfish were very good. The red beans and rice were good, the shrimp poorboy was good but have had better in NOLA. The crawfish and grits was the winner. Hefty portion, rich and very delicious!
