Essence is a casual restaurant that serves French cuisine using seasonal ingredients. Chef Shiro Naito opened the restaurant in 2010 to provide dishes that celebrate the essence of each season. Essence is conveniently located next to Inokashira Park and Ghibli Museum. Its spacious dining area provides tables for guests and a private room for special occasions. The menu at Essence offers themed seasonal courses. The restaurant uses organic, pesticide-free vegetables from Yoko Farms, has its fish and shellfish delivered directly from Hakodate and uses chemical-free fertilizer from Tokorozawa to grow some of its own ingredients.

    数ヶ月に1度通うお店のひとつです。 品数とお味が絶品であり、いつも違うメニューなので今日はどんなラインナップなのかなぁと食べに行きたくなります。 シェフ兼オーナーさんがご自身で釣り上げたお魚もたまに出てきます。 健康的なお野菜、絶妙な塩加減、デザートにプラスアルファで出されるお菓子をいつも楽しみにしています。

    毎回、はじめて見る野菜が料理に使われていて、その説明やシェフの気さくな会話も含めて抜群です。シェフが調理だけでなく自らサーブされるので、色々とお話を聞ける機会が多くて楽しいです。

    初利用で4名。シェフのお話がもっと聞けたらよかった。静かで楽しめた。お料理はシンプル（シェフのスタイル？）。ただ、もう少し手の込んだデコレーションや驚きを期待しました。ですが、味、量は概ね満足。帰りは雨だったので車の手配など声がけしていただけたらよかった。

    ディナーで伺いました。どれもとても美味しく、季節ごとにメニューが変わるのも楽しみです。 ゆったり落ち着いてお食事のできるところです。 とにかくお食事が美味しいですし、コスパも素晴らしいです。 雰囲気も良いですし、私的にはかなりお薦めで、お気に入りのレストランです。 また伺いたいと思います。

    三鷹駅からも近く、玉川上水脇のお散歩コースにある素敵なところです。 お友達とのランチにうかがいました。 素敵な時間が持てると思います。大満足です。

    店の雰囲気やサービスにおいて、ドレスコードなしのカジュアルレストランなら諦めがつく感じ。 料理において、こだわりの素材が活かされているように感じられない。盛り付けも家庭でも出来るような感じ。 以上の事から価格設定も釣り合っていないと思ってしまうほど、訪問が悔やまれる残念な気持ちになってしまった。
