Emilia restaurant is open six days a week (Monday to Saturday) for lunch and dinner and is located in Haunch of Venison Yard just off Brook Street in the heart of Mayfair.

Its inspiration comes from Emilia-Romagna, the culinary heartland of Italy and it aims to pay homage to that region and its food culture but also reflect – as we hope all our restaurants do – what a good modern restaurant should be with fantastic British produce, a brilliant and broad wine list and engaging waiters.

Our two dining rooms are bright and airy, designed to be a modern interpretation of the timeless ristoranti you always hope to find walking around an Italian city.

We take reservations in both rooms and the menu and service is exactly the same in both. Should you have a preference for either upstairs or downstairs, please let us know when booking and we will do our best to accommodate.

    I really enjoyed Emilia. Service was just the right level of attentiveness, and very personable. The upstairs dining room was comfortable and relaxed. The food was a carefully calibrated mix of unctiousness and piquancy - absolutely delicious in every way. We had a Emilia-Romagna Barbera which worked tremendously well with the savoury courses - lots of juicy berry flavours and enough acidity to cut through. One point of note - the portion sizing seems designed so that you can work your way through all five courses withough feeling particularly overfed. I made the mistake of only ordering three courses, and still felt hungry. I would love to return, with the knowledge that I need to revise upwards the amount of food to order.

    Lovely waiters, some of whom were very knowledgeable about the wine. Unfortunately for the price the food was not worth it. The main courses especially were disappointing, with lack of balance and/or seasoning in most dishes. For half the price, the food would be good, but it either needs to be different and new, or excellent quality, and it was neither.

    Lunch at Emilia, the third visit for me and my wife. The food was delicious, the service unobtrusive but friendly. The coffee arrived before the dessert, but this is easily forgiven within the overall experience.
