   The food took forever to come out. The server was so sweet but the food taking over an hour to come out for just 5 people is wild for the food took be sub par.

   I had a reservation for my first night. On my way there I received a call that my reservation was cancelled due to a staff training event. (They knew this was scheduled, not sure why they allowed me to make the initial reservation). I rebooked for the next day at dinner. When I arrived, 3 employees were standing at the bar area. One said “hey” but don’t offer to seat me. Once seated by someone who came from outside, I waited 15 minutes and no one came and welcomed me, took any order, or offered water. I then overheard a staff member tell two other tables (one was there before me and one can on after me) that they had a hot water emergency and were closing for the evening. No one ever came and told me anything personally. I then just left. I understand things come up unexpected; however, there were multiple opportunities for better customer service over my two days at this restaurant.

   Hi Alicia - I am so sorry! The staff's failure to properly greet you and explain the situation is unacceptable, even in a time of chaos. Closing was definitely not something we wanted to do, but the communication could have been much better from our team. We will be addressing this with everyone to ensure this does not happen.    I reserved a table for my two friends and I for brunch this morning. My friend and I both ordered the steak and eggs, medium rare. What came out was a slice of prime rib, WELL DONE. It must have been leftover prime rib, reheated. The eggs were so under cooked that I could barely stomach them. It was overcooked prime rib with snotty egg whites. I was nauseated when I left there and I will never return. The ambiance is cool though and the server was very nice.

   Oysters on the half shell were great and fresh. The entree was fabulous (we both had the filet). The cheesecake was the best I have had in a long time. So creamy with a bit of caramel on top...just right. The noise level was very high, and it was hard to hear my husband from across the table. The seating arrangements in general were not the greatest. They were out of some items that were on the menu. Our waitress was great.

   Great drinks at the bar. Food was also very tasty. Staff friendly and accommodating as we were short for time. Sat at the bar

   This was one of the best experiences we’ve had in Chattanooga the food was amazing and service here was even better, the salmon for the market fish was the best we’ve had in the city. We will definitely be back and highly recommend Elsie’s Daughter! Pictured is the Bistro Filet, Smoked Crab Dip, Salmon and Blueberry Cheesecake!

   We always love Elsie’s Daughter. The dog-friendly area is one of my faves in Chattanooga because it doesn’t feel like we’re sitting in the yard or parking lot, but rather a European cafe. I brought my mom and aunt today and they loved it as well. Ryan was a great server and accommodated our questions and needs very well!

   Elsie’s is a lovely lively bar restaurant w great cocktails and food The portions are smaller so if you are a big appetite , it may not be for you . They adjoin the pool area of the chalet at the choo choo which is amazing and great setting We will come back

    We wanted to love it - the space is really lovely. But we waited over an hour for pancakes and a burger. The food was fair - nothing special and not cheap. I don't think we'd come back for food - maybe cocktails.
