The Elephant Walk serves Award-Winning Cambodian and French cuisine with extensive vegetarian and gluten-free selections. Cambodian cooking is beautiful and delicious, but still rare in America. Less hot and sweet than Thai, richer and more complex than Vietnamese, the complex spice pastes that are the foundation of many Cambodian dishes reflect Cambodia’s Indian ancestry (but use fresh rather than dried spices). Our Cambodian and French selections encompass both traditional and original dishes created by our Chef Nadsa de Monteiro, who was raised in Phnom Penh speaking both Cambodian and French and subsequently lived in France for many years. Our Cambodian-and-French theme is an authentic reflection of our roots!

It was an “okay” experience. Made a reservation for 5:30 and the booking said if you’re arriving after 10 minutes, call the place. I call, say that We’ll arrive around 5:45 because of traffic, and they state they’ve got another reservation booked for 7 pm. When we get there, 5:42, they remind us again about the 7 pm next reservation. Felt really rushed and it was annoying considering the food came out slowly. We ordered drinks, an appetizer (soba noodle salad) , and entrees. The entrees came out at 6:40 so had we gotten them at 6:25, that’s still cutting it really close to the 7 pm need-to-leave time. It just was upsetting to feel rushed especially considering they did not do much to speed up the output of the dishes. The food itself was fine, it was excessively bland for asian cuisine. That was disappointing. The curry was a light broth, which isn’t bad but it didn’t have much flavor. The chicken was okay. The best thing was probably the soba noodle salad. But I wouldn’t return just for that.

Wonderful experience, from delicious food to great service. The menu is clearly marked for those who have food allergies like me, which brings a tremendous sense of ease. I felt safe eating here, and for that reason alone I will be back, but I will be back also because of the kind and thorough waitstaff, and a truly incredible meal.

Great menu with so many tasty options. We shared an appetizer and then had soup tasting portions (generous cups) and shared an entree. A fabulous dinner and served with attention and grace.
