Review summary

AI-generated from verified diner reviews
Elephant Ear, a new gem in Hell's Kitchen, offers a delightful dining experience with "melt in the mouth" duck and "wonderful" service. While some dishes need refinement, the "beautiful decor" and "great ambiance" make it a promising spot. Don't miss their crispy chicken and refreshing papaya salad.

The food was delicious, especially the crying tiger and crispy pork belly. They were so kind and accommodating with food allergies They have me a dessert and a very nice gift for my birthday even!! I don’t know if a birthday present is a normal thing or the server just was feeling generous but it was a lovely touch. It was also beautifully decorated and pricing seemed fair to me for portion size and quality, especially for midtown. We will eat here again.

Food was so delicious and different from what I normally get at Thai restaurants - the pork belly was amazing, would definitely go back to have that again! And the restaurant is really cute. Was perfect as a pre-show dinner!

This restaurant’s seafood is incredibly fresh. The Sautéed Mixed Seafood w/ Salty Duck Egg blew me away—the salty duck egg combined with seafood brought out a unique Thai flavor that I couldn't get enough of. Next, the Northern Thai Coconut Chicken Soup was rich and comforting, with tender chicken swimming in a fragrant coconut broth. The spices and flavors melded perfectly, making it one of the best Thai soups I’ve had. Overall, a fantastic dining experience that I highly recommend to any Thai food enthusiast!

My experience here was incredible. The "Tom Yum w/ Mix Seafood" was a flavorful and aromatic soup, with the right amount of heat and sourness. The "Crispy Pork Belly w/ Chili & Holy Basil" was tender on the inside and crispy on the outside, and the "Pineapple Curry Duck" was rich and flavorful, with the pineapple adding a touch of sweetness. Overall, a top-notch dining experience!

I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant! The Papaya Salad was light, fresh, and packed with flavor, while the Stir Fried Green Bean w/ Sambal Sauce was spicy, tangy, and delicious. The Grilled Jumbo Tiger Shrimp was cooked to perfection, with a savory garlic sauce that added amazing depth of flavor. Everything was incredible, and I can’t wait to return!

Server sweet and professional. Food ok. Just ok. Satay chicken was dry. Peanut sauce was not fresh /organic. Penang curry good, not enough chicken.

Overall a fine new Thai addition to Hell’s Kitchen. Very empty for lunch. Had the soft shell crab curry which was average. The fried soft shell crab was good but the curry lacked flavor and primarily tasted of salt. My wife had the Crying Tiger with Garlic Rice. This was unfortunately quite bland. Just average strip steak on garlic rice with egg and some vegetables. Service was very attentive and interior / ambience was on point though. 3/5
