  • Good for special occasions
El Pinto is open for outdoor covered patio dining and indoor seating.

Open daily. Monday through Thursday from 11am-9pm. Friday & Saturday 11am-10pm. Sunday 10:30am-9pm.

Nestled in the cottonwoods, El Pinto was founded with 10 tables in 1962. Twin brothers John and Jim Thomas, carry on the family tradition and have expanded El Pinto into the quintessential "Spot" for healthy and fresh New Mexican cuisine. Experience an authentic Taste of New Mexico.

The Salsa Twins are pairing tradition with innovative healthy nutrition at El Pinto. El Pinto established the first and only Animal Welfare Approved laying hen program on property. 250 hens lay pasture raised eggs for daily use. An onsite green house produces over 5,000 lbs of organically grown greens.

Freshness is throughout El Pinto. El Pinto uses chile from Hatch, NM, pasture raised pork from Kyzer Farms, and local grass fed beef.

Food was tasty. Eggs were supposed to be over medium but were scrabled. Coffee could have been warmer and the mimosa stronger. Buckwheat pancakes with pecans was superb. Only one menu for the two of us. Service was prompt. Very excellent layout and vibe . Pricing was ok. Thanks for asking.

We were sat right away with our reservation and our waitress was super friendly and knowledgeable! We got the appetizer sampler to try the ribs and the guac and both were great! We sat outside where the sun shined through and wood burning stoves kept us warm and made for the best ambiance. Glad we had our Easter brunch here as it was a special place!

We asked for a large table and were put out in an ugly old enclosed patio by the kitchen. The chairs were so old and wobbly we were afraid they would collapse before we finished our dinner. Ordered cocktails that didn’t arrive until we finished our meal. Took way too long to get food and beverages.

Love the ambiance! Server, Derrick, was very attentive and helpful. Food was great. We shared the fried green chilies and guacamole. Only complaint on guacamole was serving could have been bigger! Chips were hot and fresh, although first basket had a lot of small broken chips. The combo plate was awesome! Great variety of food. Definitely recommend!

James, excellent server. Food was great as ever. However the ambience was poor. That was because we were seated beside a party extremely loud individuals. They were there when we arrived had eaten and did not leave until we were leaving. But we should have asked to be moved. It was our fault.
