   I had a reservation for 7:15. I arrived around 6:50 and the restaurant was pretty busy. We checked in and the host said they would have us seated in 10 minutes. 10 minutes went by and we noticed that everyone who did not have a reservation was getting seated before us. I asked for the status they said there was one person ahead of us. 4 more people sat and I went up again and told them I was told I was supposed to be seated along time ago and why was it that everyone who did not have a reservation sat before us. They finally sat us down.

   Our reservation was at 6:45, we arrived at 7:00, and were told we had a 5 minute wait. We were eventually seated (in the sports bar area) at about 7:25. I wanted a romantic spot and the tall table and seats in that area was not the answer. Our waitress seemed overwhelmed with the amount of tables she was waiting on. We ordered dessert, waited over 20 minutes and decided to ask for the check. Not the best experience there, and we’ve been to that location about 5 times.

   Our valentines date was the best with Martin, the manager directing the courteous staff, and our host Alfredo, who took care of all of our requests. Next time you have a special event reserve at Corralitos on Doniphan.

   The steaks were great. The service was less than previously experienced. Our server would disappear for extended periods and had to be asked to refill water and tea glasses. She wasn't very attentive. She either needs more training or look for another job.

   I had to wait 25 minutes to be seated for my reservation. I eventually went up to the front desk and asked when I was going to be seated for my reservation..I was very upset. But I had a great waiter that ended my night great!

   The  staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and hard-working. The food was delicious. Although I would say the lighting was a little bright. For me a more dimmed lighting is more relaxing

   I booked a table for my son and I a month in advance for a Christmas dinner. He is in town for work and I travelled to El Paso so he wasn’t alone for the holiday. We had had such a great visit, all positive experiences everywhere we dined for 5 days. Until El Corralito. The high 5s go to the food. We ordered their house steaks and baked potatoes. The steaks were superb. Although the baked potatoes came with the option to choose what you wanted, and it did not taste fresh. No worries. We cane for the steak. No worries. We arrived on time and still had to wait over 15 minutes to be seated. I get it. It is a holiday. But when we were finally taken to our seats, there were 8-10 empty tables. It struck me they must be short staffed and not filling the restaurant. No problem …. And then … When our server FINALLY came to our table, I said ‘thank you so much for working on Christmas.’ His response was far from a positive response when customers are there to celebrate the season. “Well, it’s not like I have a choice!. ( I was recently laid off after 30+ years. So ‘not having a choice’ hits different. Hard to believe, but it only got worse. He brought out our appetizer, with a fork on the plate. It was only then we realized we had no silverware or napkins. We had to wait several minutes to make eye contact to get his attention. Then I said first could we get some napkins. I was beside myself when he picked up a stack of cocktail napkins on the table and almost slammed them back down. I went on to clarify ‘dinner’ napkins a d silverware. He stepped over to one of the many empty tables, and brought them to us. You get the idea. Asking for boxes and then a bag for the boxes was an ordeal. All I expected for the holiday dinner with my son was a happy and positive experience. That the service would match the level of service. Instead, while my little family enjoyed a good meal, we could not feel it was overshadowed by the disgruntled staff with 0 holiday spirit.

    Shrimp Ceviches was very tasty. Steaks were good especially the arrachera. It was very tender.
