Dining at Eigikutei was nothing short of extraordinary. Their vegan kaiseki dinner was a remarkable —each course thoughtfully crafted with precision and artistry, capturing the essence of traditional Japanese cuisine. The attention to detail was impeccable, from the delicate balance of flavors to the stunning presentation that made every dish feel like a work of art. One standout was the sesame soy broth used for the shabu shabu course—rich, fragrant, and deeply satisfying. Its depth of flavor perfectly complemented the meal, adding an extra layer of warmth and indulgence to the experience. The service was equally remarkable—warm, attentive, and reminiscent of our experiences in Japan. Every element of the evening, from the ambiance to the seamless pacing of the meal, transported us back to Japan. Eigikutei has set a new standard for plant-based fine dining. Whether you’re vegan or simply a lover of Japanese cuisine, this is an experience not to be missed. Highly recommended!

Another stellar dinner at the restaurant. However, this is my first time trying their Omakase menu at their sushi bar. Came here to celebrate my respected mentor’s birthday, and Eigikutei did not disappoint. Not only they served a fantastic omakase with the freshest ingredients, they also prepared a special dessert for my mentor. Tysm!

We had our first omakase here and it was very delicious experience. We order the Yawaragi crusine course. Our sushi chef was a lady name Mihoh I believed and she was very skilled and talented. Will definitely come back and try other crusine courses.

Food was fine. Sushi chef was pretty non attentive. Waiters were ordering over our shoulders to the sushi chef through the whole meal which was annoying.

GF and I did the Dine LA special with the Shabu Shabu, Kaiseki tasting menu. The ambiance was amazing. Some of the dishes stood out more than others, primarily the Sashimi quality and that Porridge. Overall, would I come back for the Shabu Shabu? No. But that Sashimi and porridge, lawd! Help me if you make that into a meal on its own! Overall solid experience. As a picky eater who has been braking out of his comfort shell, it was an experience worth having!

The food was ok, not much surprise. Kind of pricy for the portion though. The restaurant is nice and clean and easy to find.

An authentic Japanese experience with just ok food. I reserved the DineLA sukiyaki and shabu shabu dishes. The appetizers for the shabu shabu did not have much flavor, including the steamed egg, vegetables, and sashimi, where the sukiyaki had no apps. The beef was the highlight of both meals with nice quality and suitable portions. The rice porridge afterwards was filling and nice, but the matcha cake was really grainy. Overall this place has a quiet environment and authentic service, just wish the food had better flavor.
