A bar straight out of 1920’s prohibition America, from the moment you walk in you are taken back to a much forgotten era. Once inside you can sit up at the bar, at one of our shared high tables, our low banquette and coffee table seating, or a more intimate and private booth.

Secretly hidden behind our book case, the Whisky Room owes its name to our large collection of rare and exclusive whiskies that live here. It is also home to our Bottle Lockers, where you can purchase your favourite spirit bottle from Eau-de- Vie and store it for your next visit.

    Was visiting from Sydney & Read the reviews before visiting. Eau de vie did not disappoint! Excellent service from Axle & the drinks were excellent. We were also seated in a lovely booth! Will definitely visit again when returning to Melbourne. Side note: order their bread, it’s delicious.

    The cocktails are amazing. Staffs are friendly knowledgable about different flavors. The place is a little bit noisy so it’s hard to talk but the vibe is really good.

    Great venue, fits the bill for a speakeasy bar perfectly. The process of finding the door which is not very obvious is fascinating in a dingy kind of back lane. The drinks list is expertly put together and cocktails presented with flair and passion. Great staff, everyone was really friendly and knowledgeable.

    Great service. Will was an asset to the bar. very attentive and kept coming back to check on us and take our orders. He explained everything on the menu. The drinks were really quick to come out. Will definitely be going back.
