While pizza and pasta are just the tip of the Italian iceberg, there is a reason these two culinary staples are the most beloved exports from Italy. Enjoy our seasonal selection just steps away from where our expert pasta chefs and dough-slinging pizzaioli (pizza makers) create dishes before your eyes.

Service was friendly, but very inattentive. Food was good, but nothing great. Overall, I was moderately disappointed and likely won’t return.

Nothing special in this restaurant, the food was at the level of cheaper Italian restaurants in Bergen County.

The food was not good compared to my New York experience. Not seasoned well, pasta was very undercooked, bolognese very bland, the chicken Milanese was very basic. There's a lot of work to be done simply with the food.

The food was so very disappointing. My ravioli was literally floated in melted butter. The Cacio e Pepe was too salty. Food was way too rich even by Italian food standards. Just not enjoyable.

We were seated at a corner/round booth that is actually square so sitting there was awkward. Pizza was cold and could have been cooked longer. Appetizers were good but again barely warm and all the pasta dishes were barely warm too. Wait staff severely inexperienced.

There was only one person at front desk - checking in people who had reservations and making reservations for those without. Same person took us to table. Therefore quite a line! Waiter was friendly but disappeared. Our pasta was great. Fish entrees not so much. Had to hunt waiter down to get check. Think Eataly has some growing pains!

Food was excellent. The Tiramisu was beyond expectations. We were served our pizza before our appetizer which was unacceptable.

CAVATELLI CON SALSICCIA E BROCCOLI: Housemade Cavatelli was overcooked, Sausage Rage had not even whiff of sausage, Broccoli Rabe was actually broccoli. POLENTA E FUNGHI: Crispy Polenta was tough and rubbery. ZUCCA ARROSTO: Roasted Kabocha Squash was burnt. Servers were pleasant and efficient. The noise level made it difficult to have a conversation. Eataly NYC Downtown is a far superior experience to Eataly Short Hills NJ.

The setting is wonderful. Fun to shop. However, the food is way overpriced and the menu is difficult to understand without English translation. What we ordered was not what we thought it was Yummy but not what we expected. The worst part was paying the bill because they did not understand how to use the handheld register. We ended up paying more perp person bc it added tax to each card(4) cards. I would eat in the market next time.

They are clearly still working out the kinks with service. Our server was perfectly nice, but it took a long time to get food and drinks, and an even longer time to get the check. Food was generally pretty good, maybe a bit over-priced, but that's to be expected at the mall. My wife and I shared the bruschetta with ricotta and butternut squash, which was delicious. My seasonal cocktail (spiced negroni) was great -- my wife ordered a zero-proof cocktail called the no-groni which was ... not good, tasted like a flat, watered down cherry soda. I had the chicken milanese: chicken was good, the "salad" left something to be desired. My wife seemed happy with her spaghetti pomodoro. Complaints aside, this is a big improvement over the previous offerings in this space.
