Ordered the lamb roast which at £23.50, isn’t cheap. What came out was a small roast consistent of cold potatoes/vegetables and a Yorkshire pudding the size of a walnut. The lamb was as tough as boot leather. When I complained the person on the bar told me to shut up basically, and didn’t want to know. I eventually managed to swap it for the cheese burger but wasn’t given the £6 refund in price difference. Definitely won’t be coming again.

Hello Ben, Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback, however I cannot help but notice some inaccuracies in your review. Firstly, at no point were you told in any terms to 'shut up'. When you approached the manager on duty and asked to speak with them, you were politely asked if you could wait for a moment as they were the only individual manning the bar. Your comments at the time only pertained to the size of the portion for the cost, not the quality of the food. Following this, once you had voiced your opinions and confirmed you rather a burger instead, you immediately returned to you seat to watch the football and did not allow the opportunity for a refund to be processed, as this must be done but first finding the original transaction. Please email us for your £6 refund

Couldn't order any food using the scanner as page wouldn't work when selecting food. Certain bar staff lack politeness and warmth. Seemed like they couldn't care less. Some others were nice though.

Booked table for Euros footie - had cheeseburger (decent size and quality; well presented; but pricey at just under £17); beers are also pricey at over £6.50 for any pint (though excellent range of choice). A great social pub with events three times a week. Large and perfect for live sport.

Booked table for England (Euros QF) - great screens everywhere and decent pub grub (really good wings and huge sausage roll, w BG scotch egg). Beers very pricey - even for London - but maybe that was for the big footie night. Pints not much less than £7 😱

Duck pie with mash and cabbage was absolutely delicious. Lovely atmosphere, good music in the background. Thoroughly enjoyable lunchtime break.

Four of us went for Fathers Day yesterday, having really enjoyed the food and atmosphere on a number of previous occasions. The pub was not busy but we waited over an hour after ordering after making equiries and complaining both the starters and the Sunday Roast mains arrived together. We were told that we should have specified to have starters seperate - sorry but the clue is surely in the title "starters" !! One manager told us it was their Head Office policy to do this and a very young male server told us it was our fault...... The main courses arrived and the food was stone cold. We complained and another lovely blonde female manager finally came and sorted things out, getting us new "hot" food and apologising for the long wait, especially as other table who came in after us had both starters (seperately !) and mains delivered long before ours. We assume that our order had just been forgotten and must have sat for a while as it served cold. The replacement hot food was however lovely - a really good Sunday Roast. The blonde manager certainly did her best to make up for the situation and that was reflected in the bill, so we were grateful for that. It spoilt our day out and I am sad to say we won't be going back anytime soon, which is a shame as we have previously enjoyed it.

We were given a “booked” table in the corner by the toilets with no view of the game (even though it was on a big screen) and the other tables from walk-ins had much better views. Absolutely no point in booking, we had to move seats elsewhere to get a view. No explanation from staff and blatantly made things up.

Absolutely great visit, we really like this pub. It was our first time yesterday and the menu and food was very pleasant the staff were fantastic really smiley and friendly and the general atmosphere of the pub was great. Lots of screens if youre a football fan and they play some good songs on the background.ww will definitely be coming back. Special mention to Ash our server
