Great pub! Went for the first time on St Patty’s day. Cozy with music and great food. Excited to go back so we can enjoy the patio in the warm weather.

We ate on the main level where it was a quiet as the live music was on the upper level. This worked out perfectly for us since my wife and I were with a couple we had not seen in a long time and it was great for conversation. Just be aware, if you want to be in the more lively part of the pub, ask for a table on the upper level. Food and service were fantastic!

It was advertised as a St. Patrick’s atmosphere the day we went and it was far from. There was a table of about 6 people that were loud and cussing up a storm. The waitress was unhappy that she was put in the spot and we ended up getting a new waiter. The drink menu was out of date but we were not given a correct one. Seemed unorganized and hectic all around the restaurant.

This was our first experience at Doyles and we were celebrating dinner for my dad's birthday before attending a talk by Fr. Ricardo at St. John's. The exterior looks like a pub and the interior is like a cozy living room with wood plank flooring, a fireplace and lots of natural light from the windows. Being plant based myself - I was impressed that the Irish focussed menu had several vegetarian and vegan options. I ordered the lentil sheperd's pie, my husband had the Irish Stew, my mom had a brisket burger (not ground up into a burger but was the actual brisket ), and my dad the regular sheperd's pie. Our dinners were served promptly and were piping hot! Everything was delicious and such large portions that three of us took leftovers home. We would definitely dine here again and it turned out to be the perfect way to enjoy a meal prior to a speaking engagement at St. John's.

First time visiting. Love the vibe. We ate upstairs where the bar is located as the lower level was closed. Food was very good.

This is the second time we have been. First time was great. However last night we arrived for our 4:00 reservation. The floor below our table was clover with food. Our order was taken pretty quickly but we did not get our food for over an hour. They were shot handed staff wise. Disappointing because our first experience was so good. We are going again with friends in a couple of weeks, we are optimistic that our experience will be better especially for the cost for dinner.

Hello Diana, my name is John and I am the General Manager of Doyles. I wanted to personally apologize for the less than perfect you had with us during your last visit. Even though we may have been short-staffed, it is no excuse for the slow food and less than clean table area. I am glad you are coming back in a couple of weeks, I know you will have a much better experience with us. I will also directly message you as I would really like to take care of you on your next visit. Thank you for your review, rest assured we will be discussing what happened and improving because of it!

I love the decor - very inviting. We order the cheese curds and the pickle fries and both of them were overdone. I had the fish and chips and expected more crunch batter but it was too much batter and greasy. I will try it again - it might have been an off night.

Hello Julie, thank you for your review! I apologize for the issues with your food as that is not our typical standard here. I will share these comments with our chef and make sure we are on it next time. We are new and still working on consistency, but we are learning and getting better each day. I hope that you will give us another try and if you do, please ask for me (John). I'd love to talk to you more about your experience and see what else we can improve on to make us a truly great pub!
