   We had a mostly great dinner however the pizza wasn’t as good as it usual is. Also, we indicated that this was a special birthday dinner, but the waiter made no acknowledgement of this!

   The highlights were the entrees and super attentive service. We really enjoyed the... Fungo pizza: Wild Mushrooms, goat cheese, Fontina cheese, thyme, truffle oil, Italian chilies and Marechiaro: Homemade squid ink tagliolini, jumbo scallops, clams, roasted garlic, in light spicy tomato sauce. Broccolini side dish We were disappointed with the Nectarine Salad: Organic Arugula, Nectarine, Goat Cheese, Pumpkin Seeds, Lemon Honey Thyme Vinagrette. It lacked flavor and was mostly lightly seasoned arugula. We'll be back to try other dishes.

   Amazing service but the soup was so salty we had to return both bowls. And, it’s a bit of a nit, but don’t like it that the water they serve isn’t filtered. Otherwise, love it there.

   Instead of the Doppio Pizza, this time we tried the Fromaggi and Sage pizza with added Prosciutto de Parma and it was excellent! As always, the Pera Salad was deliciously fresh and the Polpetinne were succulent and yummy. I regret that I did not get the name of our waiter, but he was attentive, funny and may even speak Italian! We think the secret to the superb food here lies in the fresh, authentic ingredients. We love Doppio Zero.
