First-time visitors here! We dined at the Plancha Table, which offers a Benihana-style experience. Our reservation was at 5 PM, but the bar area was extremely noisy, making it hard to hear our chef as he described the dishes he was preparing. Although the chef was skilled and knowledgeable, he spoke very quickly and combined with the background noise, it took away from the overall experience. Lastly, the first margarita I ordered had too much ice (3/4) and little mix. On my second margarita, I pointed that out to the waitress, who fixed the problem with a better drink. Overall, it was too noisy, although the food was good.

Decided to bring my son on his 30th bday. We enjoyed the mesquite corn appetizer. We reserved plancha dining which made the experience more memorable. Our chef was quite knowledgeable about the dishes he was curating. We each enjoyed a different dish and were all pleased with the outcome.

Wonderful place to celebrate with my family of four and soon to be son in law. My son turned 30 and I wanted to do something a bit different for dinner. The plancha was the right ticket! Chef Juan did a wonderful job cooking our meals with a bit of entertaining story telling and cooking prowess. The food was delicious and the sparkling ice cream w cinnamon chips was a fantastic touch to sing happy birthday to. Can’t wait to come back! Thanks for a fun and enjoyable evening.

Two Plancha tables for my cousins bday. Multi-generational group and everyone had a great time. Our hostess/waitress was attentive and efficient with excellent recommendations. Angel was the chef at my table he was personable, accommodating to dietary needs and most importantly my ribeye was cooked to perfection! Mexican friend rice was also delish! Between our entire group we pretty much tried everything and there were no complaints. Will definitely return and try the brunch also.

It was date night for us and we wanted to try something new and found Descanso….we drove over an hour to try the restaurant and it did not disappoint! From the moment we got there, the friendly welcome, bar service, and food were on point. The food was delicious and loved how it was all served. We sat at the plancha table which was an experience and next we want to try the taco bar. We will definitely be going back

Amazing experience. My only complaint is that the chairs were quite tall - almost bar height. As someone who is rather short, it made it a bit uncomfortable for the duration of the meal.
