Demitri’s Taverna offers authentic Greek food in an atmosphere filled with laughter and positive energy. Sit out on the patio and people watch while enjoying a special chargrilled lamb burger on sourdough bun served with arugula, tomatoes, baked red onions and feta cheese. Heat lamps make the patio enjoyable year round. Choose to stay indoors and dine on the charbroiled breast of chicken gyro pasta dish or the chicken and sausage Mediterranean pasta served with a house Mediterranean salsa. Demitri’s Taverna has several appetizers that can be enjoyed before a meal or with drinks like the flamed saganaki, yaiyai’s sloppy fries or the baked feta garlic bread topped with melted parmesan. Finish the meal at Demitri’s Taverna with an authentic dessert such as the pikilia epthorpia, kataifi pastry roll or the traditional Greek yogurt served with caramelized nuts covered in Greek honey.

Demitri’s is an exceptional venue. Their food is top notch and it feels like the family you like when you go there. The wine pairing with Arroyo Cellars was excellent and the wine pours reasonable. Definitely a place to which I will return.

A gem in Livermore. I was catching up with a colleague and needed a place near Dublin and Discovery Bay. Demitri’s was PERFECT. The service was great and food was tasty and special requests were accommodated. We could have stayed for hours as the weather and ambiance was perfect. There were a few more folks there including a small group. None of us were very noisy. WONDERFUL.

We were seated in the back area at our request as the front door was open and it was already cold at 5:00pm. There was a loud chime that went off often which we learned was Door Dash orders coming in... very annoying! The food was delicious but wasn't as hot as it should be and we couldn't wait to get out and away from the constant chimes. My recommendation is to stay home where it's warm and quiet and order takeout.

Amazing food and ambience. The chef is a great guy, personally checked on us to be sure we fully enjoyed the meal. and all the staff was wonderful as well. Good price, great location, and great food and drink options.

Our first time here, made a reservation for 7 on a very busy Saturday night, we were seated right away. We received ice water then our server, who is amazing, greeted us and went over the specials and menu. We decided on the Spanakopita appetizer to start, it was delicious, fresh and the spinach, feta and mint were perfectly balanced. Hubby had the special, Pastitsto, Greek meat pasta with bechamel cheese sauce with sautéed veggies. Creamy, cheesy, meaty all in one. So good. I ordered the Gyro Platter, piled gyro meat, warm pitas, fresh tzatziki with veggies and rice pilaf. Amazing flavors, the meat is so tender and the tzatziki compliments the food combinations. Huge portions, great reheated the next day. For dessert we had Baklava- is unbelievably delicious and so fresh. Service was top notch, we were always attended to, food was hot, delicious and fresh. We would definitely refer and we look forward to going back.
