Death Avenue, our homage to the history of our neighborhood is a hip, upscale Restaurant, Bar & Grill serving a playful Greek/American inspired cuisine. We have a lively bar area, several quieter dining areas, private party rooms, cozy nooks and a spectacular 2000 square foot garden. Throughout our establishment, we play tasteful lounge music, have soft vintage lighting and hundreds of candles burning. The complete package is super cozy, intimate and extremely romantic. Our bar features cask aged cocktails, a bounty of wines by the glass and a beer selection that has been carefully curated.

Really nice for happy hour. Prices are higher than they need to be for what you get, but a nice spot overall. Great service

We had tickets to the Shed and went here before—they placed us in a secluded booth and we asked them to turn the music down so it was nice and quiet. There were 6 of us and my mother is somewhat hard of hearing so this was amazing. The food was delicious. We had several dishes on the menu and everyone raved about their food. They read the note in my reservation and brought my daughter a cool candle in her dessert. The service was very attentive. The wine was a little pricey but overall the experience made up for it and I highly recommend!

Made a reservation for 7 and they closed at 8 so were mopping the floors while we ate. Wished we’d know. Food was really expensive and not that great. We got pita and dips, octopus, steak skewers, and mousaka and all were bland. Wouldn’t go back.

Great ambiance as we had our own little area, super comfortable. But this should not be listed as only $$ on OpenTable. Very pricey. Even in NYC, $34 for an omelette is just too high. Fries were cold. $36 "shared spread" was four tiny dishes of dips with some bread. Just too expensive. If it had been touted as even $$$, we'd have been better warned.

Great food. Interesting and delicious cocktails. Wonderful setting. When the restaurant learned it was a birthday dinner for one guest, they gave us one dessert for free.

Interesting set up, loved the bar area, great place for a couple to have a chat, service wasn't great but the atmosphere was. Wish we could have stayed there but with a group of 8 neither the bar nor tables in that area would have worked. The larger tables inside the restaurant area, we didn't see the outside tables, are in rectangular alcoves which we actually enjoyed, those who felt a bit claustrophobic sat on the outside of the alcove and were fine. This cozy set up made the conversation so much easier, but harder for people to got to the loo as others had to keep getting up. We had a few issues with the service, incorrect food orders, but we got those sorted. There seemed to be only one gentleman serving, which slowed things down, we were right at the back of the winding restaurant so it was hard to attract attention when we needed something, or to see how busy the place was until we left (2 tables of 4), one more body serving would have made a big difference. The food is where they fall down. Our only appetizer was the shareable cheese plate, which was really for 4 people max. Little signs telling you what the cheeses were would have helped. We had a selection of dinner dishes from burgers, baby back rib sandwiches, steak skewers to the lamb shank entrée. Unfortunately everyone, other than the Swiss mushroom burger eater had very disappointing meals; tasteless or too salty or just mushy. For the price, yes I know it's NYC, but we had great food at other establishments for around the same price during our stay, we expected better food. If back in the area and walking past the bar may go in for a drink, we wouldn't make a special trip and we'd definitely stay far away from the food.
