   We arrvied late in the evening witha party of four. We had margaritas, very good, roti, very good and 2 good meals one not very good and one average. The not so good meal was Pad Woon Sen. the glass noodles were not fresly cooked, almost mushy as if they had been sitting around for a while. This was our fourth trip here and our first less than superb experience.

   I was not in love with being seated right on top of the two people next to me, it seems like they wanted to squeeze as many people in as possible. And the wood chairs were so hard and uncomfortable that I had to put my jacket under me. We were on a date night and my husband loves Thai. But was disappointed. I liked my Tom Ka soup very much!

   Although always good...it depends on who is cooking...so dishes are a little different some days. Really good shrimp special last night!

   Considering you cannot get a reservation made without guaranteeing your credit card being charged a $15 per person ‘fine’ if you need to cancel within 24 hours or “no show” is enough for me to pass going there, but we went anyway (6 total people).. having not been there in the past and reading the advertisements regarding the restaurant which asked for business casual dress, and the way they advertised themselves I thought that this was a polished establishment. In reality, it’s a small place where you could dress any you wanted based on the customers we saw, the food was good. We sat outside on rickety wire chairs and tables along with folks, enjoying their meal, dressed in shorts and T-shirts with the dogs along with them . I have no problems with this except I would’ve gone casual! The plus side of this was the service was good. The food was good although overpriced, overall it did not live up to the advertised expectations.

   what a huge and pleasant surprise! We took a flyer for date night and have now found a regular spot. GREAT people, service and Thai food that is both juuuust different enough and truly delicious. Generous portions, great value. Can't say enough

   Best Thai food in Bend! They have creative dishes and incredible service. Most flavorful food we have had in some time! We will be back for sure. Great family owned vibe.

    Dear Mom Cafe serves yummy food made with fresh ingredients. The portions are on the small side so the value is not very good. The physical atmosphere is fine. I've been here twice. Sadly, the service and mood of the place is not good. When you enter, there is no smile, no greeting. No warmth. They are not happy to see you. The server is a food delivery person - they deliver water, take your order and deliver food - all with attitude of a McDonalds. Again, no warmth. And not once checking in after the food was delivered (such a basic failure that I am shocked). What so many restaurants fail to grasp is that their role is not just providing good food to customers. Their role is to facilitate an experience - an experience around food. Some customers don't care I guess. But the majority of people will return to restaurants that provide a good experience. Not the case with Dear Mom's. Dear Mom' was not very busy. I think I know why. They have damaged their own business with crappy attitude and service. I will not be back. I predict they will not be open in a year. I hope they can fix their shortcomings and prove me wrong.
