   Food was excellent as was service. Full bar. Nice live dining music that did not interfere with conversation. Will definitely return.

   Great service, but the food is not the best. We ordered the guacamole, creamy, not chunky, needed salt and lime which we added. Steak nachos were terrible. Too many beans, cheese was gloopy, not melted, and Where was the steak?… maybe 3 ounces of very fatty steak. Atmosphere is nice and staff friendly and attentive, but I would not return. 2 beers, guacamole, and nachos to share, 730 pesos - better value and food many places in PV.

   An oasis in La zona romantica. The service was friendly and attentive. We loved the carne asafa platter and tortilla soup. Highly recommended

   It was okay… we have and had better Mexican food from Texas. My Mexican friend’s cooking and his mom’s restaurant’s in Ixtapa are way better.

   We have been to De Cantaro several times and have enjoyed it. This time the food was not good. Two of my friends ordered the Mahi Mahi and it was dry and tasteless. I ordered the shrimp, and it was also dry. All of our meals were cold when they arrived at our table and the restaurant wasn't even busy. The server tries hard to push the Mexican wine, but we expected that. Overall, it was not a meal that would make us want to go back. They need to work on the menu and the quality of the food.

   Not the first time here and we had a good experience. I ordered the lobster that was not on the menu, but when I asked, the servers said they had it available. The lobster had a rubbery taste and seems a bit overcooked. I had it the last time I was here and it was much better, more flavorful. Other than that, everything else was good. They had a DJ playing nice music that goes with the ambiance and wasn't too loud.

   The atmosphere of this restaurant is great. Music is a bit loud at times. Salads were very good - both Spinach and Cesar salads. The issue was the entrees. The chicken was so dry it was inedible. As were the ribs. The catch of the day was good as was the burger, however the vegetables and rice were lukewarm warm. We mentioned all the to the waiter who didn’t seem to care. The entire restaurant seemed to be waited on by 2 wait staff so started out good (when the restaurant was mostly empty) and went downhill from there. Many better restaurants in PV; this on red is not recommended.

   The attention, friendliness and helpfulness of the staff were exemplary. The drinks, margaritas, Negroni, aperol and tiki tiki were the best we’ve had , the burgers were awesome Highly recommend this hidden gem Thank for making our last day in PV so enjoyable

    What an amazing gem this is! I went for a birthday last night. The manager was great and I love that he made himself present and available. Our waiter was terrific, and the live singer made for the perfect atmosphere. I can’t wait to return. Oh, the pork chop tomahawk and mashed sweet potatoes are fantastic!
