   Great food and customer service. Will definitely return to try more items on the menu. The chicken and waffle appetizers are da bomb!

   Welcoming greeting upon entering Host seated us and was specific about the 90 minute time limit. After that nothing no water,no service Manager was not attentive, walked right by our table i even called for him, he obviously didn't hear me didn't look at any of the tables he walked by just was on a tablet Told another host we didn't have a waiter or waitress, he said I'll let her know. Another 15 minutes went bye we left. Seated at 325pm left at 410pm. Very dissatisfied for this too happen during Mother's day weekend. Just for the record they were not that busy, I say this because there were 2 open tables in the restaurant during this time. If we ever decide to come back we would suggest adding the HYDE PARKER DRINK TO THIS MENU LUKE YOUR OTHER SPOT ITS FANTASTIC

   The establishment is impeccable! From the ambiance, kind staff from when you walk into the restaurant and delicious food and spirits! The owner came by our table and was very personable and made you feel comfortable! The long windows offer so much natural light which is something amazing and really sets to vibe! I highly recommend the biscuits and deviled eggs as appetizers and shrimp and grits which was cooked perfectly! I will definitely be returning to try the other food and drink items! 10/10

   Everything I tried to order was NOT available. Vendor mistake? Apologetically and cheerily a discount was mentioned for the inconvenience, but do not appear on the check. Next time I’ll call ahead to insure supplies have arrived. 🙁

   Food was great as well as the service, didn’t like the original drinks ordered but the staff came and remade them immediately to our liking definitely coming back soon

   This was our 1st time & we were visiting from out of town & heard good things. We got lucky & was able to get parking on a Sunday which is hard to do, I'm told. Although we had a reservation for 5p we didn't get seated until after 530p so that was slightly inconvenient. The food was very good. Some of our party said the chicken was not seasoned to their liking. Overall, the food was delicious & the experience was awesome. Would definitely go again.

As we understand street parking is tough in Hyde Park, you may utilize the 5th floor of the Solstice parking garage located on 56th Cornell. It is a free to use garage for patrons of Dawn.

   Horrible customer service. As soon as we sat down took them 15mins to bring water, menus,& silverware. Order the catfish dinner after waiting for 2hrs on our food and drinks they came out and said they were out of catfish

   Hi, Ya'Kima. I'm Quentin, a manager here at Dawn. Firstly, my apologies for any shortcomings you experienced at Dawn during your visit. I see that you dined during a time we noticed a food quality issue and that you were informed about 40 mins after placing your order, which I can FOR SURE understand your frustrations behind. After frying a few batches, none came out of quality to serve. We take integrity in what we do and would rather you be frustrated in us not selling something because of not so great quality than frustrated that we brought you out a poor quality dish just to try and make a sale. I see our other manager Ty'Asia offered you two free entrees. I hope you come back to redeem those so that we can redeem the culinary greatness Dawn AM Eatery has to offer.

    Our experience at Dawn Eatery was phenomenal. We were greeted with a smile and courteous service by the host. As the host tried to maintain waiting order at the front door, they politely requested the waiting guests to move to the open area. I was pleased with the way the host staff handled the large group of people waiting. We arrived 15 minutes early and were seated right on time. My husband and I didn't expect what was coming next. Our server (Mario, I think this is his name) was kind and provided excellent service. He gave recommendations and was perfectly attentive (not too much nor too little). The FOOD was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I will return to try other items that I was interested in. I ordered the salmon croquettes with the jalapeno grits, and a biscuit. My husband had the smothered potatoes with chicken sausage. The food reminded me of that good breakfast food someone's grandmother made in the south. Dawn Eatery is my new breakfast/brunch spot with my husband and/or friends.
