David Burke Tavern is a modern American restaurant by award-winning Celebrity Chef David Burke. Situated on the first two stories of a stately townhouse on New York City’s Upper East Side, the restaurant showcases Burke’s creative and contemporary approach to classic fare – often with showstopping presentations. Signature dishes highlight seafood, steakhouse staples and beyond, including Lobster Dumplings with spicy tomato, Crab Cake Pretzel Raft, Tavern Cheeseburger, and Burke’s famous “Clothesline” Maple & Black Pepper Candied Bacon, plus a full SUSHI MENU. David Burke Tavern offers dinner, bar and lounge menus, as well as multiple private dining spaces including the intimate Himalayan Salt Room lined with pink sea salt bricks. Private dining spaces can accommodate anywhere from 10-100 guests, with options to reserve floors and the full restaurant.

    Wanted special Restaurant to celebrate daughter's birthday. $59.00 Prix fixe dinner had variety of choices and all were tasty but not outstanding. Service for Christmas Eve was a little slow but to be expected. What made the evening a stand out was Michael, who took great care of us and eventually moved us to the quieter and more private alcove originally designated.

    We sat upstairs and thoroughly enjoyed our rack of lamb dinners. Despite many tables being vacant, a group of eight people on the other side of the room were discourteously noisy. Our service was less attentive than it should have been, especially given the absence of other tables for her to wait on. Nonetheless, the food was excellent and we enjoyed ourselves.
