The Dartmoor Inn sits just a stone’s throw from Tavistock and Princetown, is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner reservations, with breath-taking views across Dartmoor as the perfect backdrop.

The menu is 100% organic with everything sourced from a wonderful selection of small, local producers. The traditional Devon bar offers a fine selection of the best local, organic ales from the barrel, alongside organic wines, cocktails, mixers and soft drinks.

Please note, we are a historic building and therefore have limited wheel chair access and no disabled toilet. Please ask staff for assistance if it is required, we will do everything we can to accommodate your needs.

(If you are planning to dine with us on a Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday evening, please note that the only menu available is our Stone and Fondue experience).

It was shut down and boarded up !! So no breakfast !! We followed map directions which then took us to the Dartmoor inn in Lydford which when we arrived told us no this was the wrong Dartmoor inn and they didn’t serve food either so after a 25 mile round trip and still hungry we went home !!

Really tasty roast dinners, who catered for both myself (Vegetarian) and meat lovers. My one slight criticism would be lack of space. We were seated between two other tables, once seated we couldn't move as chairs were back to back. However, eaten there before and this was the first time this has occurred, so suspect it's due to that particular table arrangement area. Overall great food and great service.

Absolutely incredible! Would recommend to anyone, easily the best Sunday roast me and my partner have ever had. Everything was delicious, from the veggies to our perfectly cooked rare sirloin to share. We requested an Irish coffee and the barmaid was super helpful making a yummy Irish coffee but with rum instead of whiskey - on request! Can not wait to go back!

This is my favourite restaurant in the South West. The staff are all so friendly, and teh food is amazing. We will be going back again very soon!

A very pleasurable lunchtime light bite with a friend. The staff were very friendly and helpful and our Ploughman’s were lovely! A very relaxed experience. Will definately be back again.

Our 2nd visit here; which makes it more embarrassing we went to the actual farm by mistake! Both visits were excellent. Food superb, the steaks were cooked to perfection. Staff were friendly, and a gorgeous location.

Sunday roasts were amazing. The meats were cooked to perfection and the veg matched. The all organic drinks menu was a nice touch as well.
