The salads were huge and delicious! The oysters were tasty and the 3 sauces they came with were good. The steaks are tender. Definitely give this place a try just do not go when there is a concert that evening as it is way too busy to have a quiet dinner.

We were 13 minutes late to our reservation, we had called and told them we were running 15 minutes late they said no problem and updated our reservation. When we arrived we had to sit in the bar because they had given our table away. Food was mediocre not worth the price, loud environment.

I normally don’t write reviews but this one feels warranted. I will start out by saying that for what we paid to eat here, I was extraordinarily disappointed with our experience at Council Oaks. We stopped here and had dinner before our concert. The only reason we were in the area was for the concert we were attending. We sat down for our reservation at 6:30, and our concert was at 7:30. We did not even get our food for almost an hour and a half. The delay for food caused us to miss the opening act. It took 30 minutes for us to receive our drinks. I felt bad for the server who could not control the kitchen or the bar, however the service time was completely unreasonable. When the food did come out, it was good but not anything to write home about. The steak was good, the pork belly was dry and had been cold plated. Disappointing at best, especially for the price tag. We probably won’t be back if I have a choice over it. The cafe was closed at the hard rock, so we unfortunately didn’t have much of a choice. This might have been a one-off experience and maybe it’s normally better, but we didn’t enjoy the experience for our first time.

The food was excellent, steak cooked as requested. The service was not as good as we have had before so was disappointing. We were not provided with steak knives prior the food arriving and did not get an extra plate even though we had advised the waitress we were sharing the meal. When the table assistant brought the plate it was ice cold, like a salad should have gone it, not a hot meal. She also only brought one steak knife. My drink glass sat empty for 15 minutes or more so I declined a 2nd drink when finally asked, even though I wanted one. May seem like petty little things but not when you are paying a premium price for a meal in an upscale restaurant.

Filet was good, but over seasoned. They were out of the 11 oz. filet. Chocolate cake tastes like it’s from a box, the frosting was good though. We liked the creamed spinach. Lobster bisque is good, and is a shareable size. Crab cakes were ok-meaty, but nothing else. Served with mustard. High priced food. Beautiful restaurant. Excellent service

We always have great food and service at Council Oaks! We brought our Dad for his 93rd birthday…his request! We love the prime rib night(Sunday) and this time did not disappoint. Food was, as always, absolutely delicious and well prepared. Service was top tier. They took good care of us. We will definitely be back soon!

We had great service, our food was cooked perfectly to order. It was our first time to experience prime rib night. It won’t be our last. Great value for a great experience.

We had a great dinner at Council Oaks Steakhouse on New Year’s Eve, however the service was subpar. While we understand with the holiday and business and the food was excellent, the service was poor.
