Located in the heart of San Francisco’s historic Jackson Square neighborhood, Cotogna is a lively, comfortably-stylish restaurant featuring rustic Italian cuisine. Adjoining Quince, Lindsay and Chef Michael Tusk’s celebrated fine dining restaurant, Cotogna (meaning ‘quince’ in Italian) offers a seasonally-changing menu featuring spit-roasted or grilled meats and game birds, wood-oven pizzas, house-made pastas, fresh local seafood, salads, salumi and cheeses.     Cotogna remains simply one of the best Italian restaurants in the city! Consistently delicious food, attentive and warm service in a beautifully designed space--the ultimate restaurant combination. At lunch there on a recent Wednesday, the manager was on the floor, laser focused on ensuring everything was running smoothly...always a restaurant I want to return to!

    Amazing as usual! You guys at Cotogna take such good care of me every time I go! This is my favorite restaurant in all of SF! Great fresh pasta/cuisine! The pizza is always delicious. Thank you Chef!!!!

    We were planing a trip to SF for months I made a reso three weeks before and could only get a 10pm it was still completely packed every seat at bar full. Food was absolutely to die for the Agnolotti is a must try as well as their Raviolo believe me you will not be disappointed!! Our server Ben was such a delight the service from all sides was amazing . Try their ice cream cart served table side soooo good .

    From beginning to end, our meal at Cotonga was pure delight. The feel is warm and engaging, and the food is truly outstanding. I'm not sure I want to eat anywhere else. A perfect place to celebrate with friends and family.

    The food was good. The portion average sized. The service was sufficient. The lunch pricing is high. A restaurant you should experience , one I would not frequent often. Tables are very close. I felt a bit claustrophobic. It’s small inside so you feel like you are on the lap of your neighbor. Good location

    Overall, Cotogna is an above average experience. Food and service was great for casual dining experience. A little too noisy and tables are too close to each other. My husband did not like the hard chairs. However, the food was well prepared, very fresh, especially the tagliatelle with Dungeness crab meat, and halibut.
