Our server was wonderful, food was pretty awful. We started with the scallop appetizer. Although it was a bit salty and overcooked it was the highlight of our meal. The rosemary chicken appeared to be thoroughly cooked, however it was somehow cold in the middle. I ordered the prime rib special for $42, it literally looked like something I would expect from a diner at 1am. It was extremely tough and salty. Definitely not roasted as the outside was browned and the center was rare as if they just let it sit in the au jus just to warm it up. I hope this was just an off night and I would be willing to try again, mostly because our waitress Karen was such a sweetheart.

This was my first time at Cork & Cap and our party wanted to each try a different entree. Our server Michael was absolutely great and suggested the house favorites, which included the Short Rib Wellington, the Filet with crab cake, Prime Rib and Bourbon Glazed Pork Chop. Each entree was excellent and will definitely visit this restaurant the next time in Lancaster.

Make sure Mike is your waiter. This is our first visit to this restaurant. The service was excellent and our meal was outstanding. Prime Rib was the special for the evening and it didn’t disappoint. My wife ordered the Beef Wellington. The best she has ever eaten. She said she could see ordering another to go. We also celebrated our daughter’s Birthday. Mike made it special. We have a photo including Mike as a remembrance. When we visit Lancaster we will be dining at the Cork and Cap.

Our entrees (filet mignon & rosemary chicken) were disappointingly mediocre but the scallop appetizer was delicious. The stone walls and overall ambiance drew us in but the food & service were meh. I wouldn’t recommend it to others.
