Making plans to go to dinner means wanting to be served. When you are paying $15 for a glass of wine and $25 for an entree, it should not feel like you are in a cafeteria. The service was awful, glass of wine ordered did not arrive until 15 minutes after ordering. Our meals arrived and another glass of wine was ordered. Server never came back to check on our entrees. Glass of wine ordered did not make it to the table until we were finished with our dinner. Server spent way too much time talking to other tables instead of working her station and making sure that all guests she was responsible for were taken care of. She never cleared the plates until we piled them all together for her and she brought the check. To ask if I wanted the glass of wine in a to go cup is unacceptable, it was to be enjoyed with dinner, not in the car driving home. Used to be one of my favorite restaurants, to be treated by a server in a frenetic rush is unacceptable. The choices of restaurants in Sarasota are immense, and great food and service is everywhere. You lost us on this visit.

I received an email message from Cooper’s Hawk advertising a new, expanded gluten free menu. When you clicked on the link it took you to an incredible number of glute free options, including calamari and egg rolls. We arrived at the restaurant to try items from this new menu, only to discover that we were totally mislead. The link actually took you to the regular menu and not the gluten free one. What a huge disappointment!

Our server Duncan was terrible. Was rude anytime we tried to correct him. He didn't give us water, drinks didn't have the correct garnishment. 5 person table and brought out food sporadically, one person was done eating before the rest of us even got our appetizer. Don't mind errors, but the rudeness when we tried to ask for anything was outrageous. Food was great though. We come here often and never had an issue. Just didn't like Mr. Duncan.

Waiter was very good. My Salmon was delicious. Cooked perfectly, my husband’s meal was tasty but the meatballs were lukewarm. Our potstickers were delicious.
