   We had a lovely table and wonderful server! We enjoyed our cocktails and appetizers! We were surprised with Cheescake on a stick for the 2 Birthday Girls! Really good and a very unexpected touch!

   Menu in the lounge is for small bites - no entrees. Food was very average. Great server.

   I loved the old menu not a fan of this autumn menu. we dined 2 times. November 3 and 4. The first night set next to a family with children (dining room was empty). Monday night, I thought the chicken was terrible. Trout was good and I had both nights. Made my son eat the chicken but even the trout not as good on Monday. We wanted to try Confederation Lounge but the music too loud and seemed cold. Harvest Room , the music perfect for me. I realize music and food subjective.

   New fall lunch menu is very limited and very pricy; also found it off-putting that the server tried to ‘up-sell’ all the guests at every opportunity and with every interaction

   Great date night with my wife. The food was spectacular with a special shout out for the hummus plate. The beverages were perfect. Thanks Carmen and Gwen for making our evening so perfect.

   It was a wonderful lunch! We were warmly welcomed and had a beautiful table. You can’t beat the feeling you get from the Hotel MacDonald!

    I really do hate to complain, but our experience needs to be heard: I was there for lunch yesterday and both Michelle and our drinks/meal were impeccable. Today, it took ten minutes for someone to show up at the “Please wait to be seated” sign to acknowledge us. Even though we had a reservation, it seemed like we were putting the person who showed us to our seats out (there was no warm greeting or welcome), rather just a sigh and a shrug. We were essentially ignored for the entire time (our waitstaff came to our table only three times, once to take our order, the second to bring our drinks, and once after we flagged him down to ask for the bill (because we were not going to wait any further to ask about dessert — even though we were celebrating a birthday, no sweets were apparently going to complement our meal). Our drinks tasted like cough syrup and the arugula that accompanied my tuna was wilted and clearly past due. The grain salad upon which it was served was tasteless. Night and day experiences. Today’s experience was beyond disappointing.
