Meals aren’t about trends, shock value, or opulence.
Meals are about moments, memories and those who surround you at your table.
We believe in the complexity of simplicity, and the power of pure flavors. Our histories, vast and varied, deserve to be memorialized and romanticized by dishes that at once remind us of home and transport us to somewhere new.

We don’t make food for everyone else, we make food for you.

Why they're an Icon

Executive chef: Nina Compton

From the OpenTable editors: At Compère Lapin, James Beard Award-winning chef Nina Compton dazzles with showstopping dishes that marry her Caribbean heritage and French fine dining pedigree. Dig into favorites like goat curry and broiled shrimp with Calabrian chili butter in a stylish space dressed with exposed brick and warm woods. Don’t miss award-winning cocktails like The Copper Hopper—a tropical, tequila-forward drink served in a copper bunny mug, a nod to the restaurant’s namesake folklore rabbit.

Our “Firsts” were amazing… the papaya salad and the Smoked trout! Our “Seconds” were just ok. The fried chicken was mostly breading (not much chicken) and a little sweet. The Scialatielli was way too salty. Wonderful service though. Will go back.

Great food! We had the Just Feed Me and being able to taste different foods was great. My faves were the fried chicken, papaya salad and the coconut tres leches. Highly recommend

All together I enjoyed my time here but the service wasn’t alllll that though. We waited VERY long to get our drinks and to even place our orders leading to basically miss our after dinner plans. And it was a birthday celebration & no one wants that ya know :(

Sold out of my first choices of appetizer and entree. Waited 30 minutes for my cocktail to arrive. Management apologized and made amends. Food was good but didn't meet expectations.

I had family and family friends visiting from out of town, and they wanted to go to a nice dinner on the last night they were here. This place did not disappoint. Loved the cocktails, and all the courses, including dessert. Nice ambience and friendly waiters as well. Will definitely go back!

We but I was so happy for this return. It was Veterans Day and through my whole United States Army career I was never a Veteran to myself only a rookie. I retired two days because few and I am a Veteran. I am so happy our greyest Chef and Restaurant has returned!!

The food was fantastic, as usual. Even though it was only curbside survive, you can tell it was prepared with the highest standards when we unpackaged it at home!
