We attended the holiday tea which was nicely set up, decorated nicely. However, for the money paid we had to ask for our food and tea, they forgot about us. When our reservations got made we also mentioned our allergies and they forgot about them and they could not answer if a couple food items had the food related to the allergy in it - they forgot about our food allergy for our table. We have attended a holiday tea here previously and it was great - this year not so much.

Our server Gustavo was fantastic - very attentive, polite. The food was outstanding. Everything was delicious and the variety was amazing. The music was a lovely addition and so very festive. Will definitely be back real soon. We and our out of town guests had a fabulous, memorable afternoon.

Best Thanksgiving brunch buffet! Food and service were outstanding. Our mimosas were truly bottomless- the amazing servers never let them get empty. I cannot say enough positive about the food and the experience overall.

The Thanksgiving experience at the Drake in Oak Brook was nice. Food, service and atmosphere were excellent, but it's never just about the food. Unfortunately, they place you in large banquet halls and the tables are not banquet tables (the large round ones). So they make you sit in small, foldable picnic tables which are fragile and unstable. This is a cheap sitting arrangement for the price we paid. It's unworthy of the quality of meal. Every time a member of our family would get up to visit the buffet or return with a new serving the entire party had to get up, hold the table down and all glasses and teacups. This process proved ineffective because the foldable tables are low and close to your lap. It's impossible to keep drinks and tea/coffee from spilling and being knocked over when one of us accidentally hit the leg of the table with our knees. Fragile and rather unpleasant. We kept putting new napkins under teacups and saucers and calling servants to clean up. Other guests were just as challenged... I think once is sufficient. It was very nice, but we will find a more comfortable sitting arrangement next year.

The overall value to other similar experiences was low. All the food was put in the table at once with us needing to make room. There was too much sweets and not enough sandwiches. The Drake can do better.

Average tea- liked that they used loose leaf. Service was just ok, didn’t really check back, fill our water or bring more milk for the tea. One tea pot was cracked and leaked all over the table. The sandwiches were good, the scones dry, the pie slice delicious and the cookies just average- didn’t taste like a pastry chef was in house. The ability to take it from a 3 to 4 is in the details and service. There was little to no attention to details. Really wanted to love it, especially since it’s so close. Not worth the $75 per person, and the service did not warrant the 20% applied to every bill. The harp player was lovely.

Took my mom and daughter to the holiday tea. It was our first time. We had a lovely experience. Our server, Patty, was very welcoming and personable. She also made sure my daughter felt part of the experience even though she is only 3 years old. The food and tea were fantastic. My favorite was the salmon tea sandwich - it was so good. We plan to make this an annual tradition for the 3 of us.
