A relaxed wine-led rooftop restaurant with panoramic views of Manchester City Centre, a daily changing menu, and a cellar with more than 400 different wines to choose from.

Climat is the second site from the team behind Covino, who set up shop in Chester's historic city centre back in 2016. The team has since forged a reputation both regionally & nationally as a fiercely passionate wine-led restaurant with exciting daily changing menus.

Head Chef Luke Richardson best describes his style of cooking as 'Parisian ex-pat food' - a nod to his time spent cooking in the cosmopolitan kitchens of Paris.

As the name 'Climat' might suggest, our cellar of more than 400 different wines has a slight lean toward our favourite region of all - Burgundy. Outside of Burgundy you’ll find a healthy selection of other favourites from around the world, with wines from small producers, to the more iconic, and all the top vignerons that sit between.

    Service was disappointing, ignored on arrival dispute having to buzz up to reach the restaurant. Service was lack luster, and chaotic at times, like staff weren't really concerned about our experience. Good food overall, however Beef tartare was poor and feedback was given to staff who barely acknowledged the feedback, would expect more and gesture of good will.

    Great location, feels like a hidden secret into the lift to floor 8 and then into a wonderful space with a fantastic view out over Manchester. Staff were very knowledgeable with great service. Menu was excellent, we sat at the counter top which was a nice way to see everything put together expertly by the chefs. Will definately return.

    Beautiful ambience. Great views of the city. Lovely food, my favourites Hash brown starter BBQ Potatos Pork Chop I wish I could give you the names off the menu, they sound a lot more classy than my interpretation. Overall, in my personal opinion there was something missing from the flavour pallet for me. However the salad we had was very tasty and I enjoyed the fusion of those flavours a lot, really complimented the chop and the potatoes. Myself and my friend had a lovely time. Thank you

    Overall I had a great time, although the waitor should have told us that the pork dish was way bigger than the other mains eg the trout because we were really stuffed after. Was disappointed in the veal ragu, it was very gamy. But other than that, everything else was enjoyable. Glad that they’ve also improved their desserts!

    The food was delicious, the staff were friendly and good at their job, the venue is impressive and the value of the meal was spot on. Can't fault anything. Fingers crossed Climat and many others can weather January.
