Staff were all exceptional, especially since it was a busy Friday night. We sat outside in the courtyard which was cute. Unfortunately the food was pretty ordinary and nothing really wowed us. Find Japanese food in general in Melbourne has too many fried or deep fried dishes with kewpie mayo.

Outstanding, I’ve been there a few times over the years and it never fails to disappoint. Food was even better than I remembered. It’s definitely my favorite place to go in Melbourne.

The whole experience blew our minds! Food was incredible, wait staff were on point and the atmosphere was immersive! We came on a very hot night and wished we booked outdoors as inside was quite stuffy. Other than that…good for kids as they were very entertained with all the decorations around the restaurant! Amazing feast! Definitely recommend!

Outstanding welcome from the team at Cotto Motto, in particular charming Komachi. Food is outstanding frim the wagyu beef spring rills, to the meatball menchi katsu sando to the prawn and pirk bellt shiso wrap and outstanding oil free chips w japanese curry chicken salt and one of the best ramen w pork and chilli crisps w soft poached egg atop, reminusscent if a gr8 carbonara 😅😅. Super uber cool dining areas, gr8 selection of drinks. Amazung place. Mata chijaiuchini o ai shimashou

this place makes for a great after work drink or as a fun place for a group to spend the night. the atmosphere is fun and very Osaka inspired and during the summer its a comfortable and chill vibe with great shearing plates and great cocktails.
