No wonder this busy Greenpoint restaurant has such rave reviews. The food was absolutely delicious from the super fresh oysters to the sweet and sticky apple tart and everything in between. We liked it so much we went back for brunch on the weekend. Oh man the pancakes were so good.....crispy around the edges and soft and sweet with real maple syrup in the middle. Yum!

Crowded! We made reservations but were seated almost 15 minutes late, though everyone was very nice about it. Pancakes are worth the hype. Restaurant is a bit plain-looking, and I'm not sure if anything besides the pancakes are any good.

They sat us 30 minutes past our reservation. Most of the food was very salty.

Great ambiance w a stylized, but eclectic menu. The pressed chicken was out of this world. We had the Caesar Salad and French Fries for apps; never imagined it would be so right. They have a small but very good and reasonable wine list as well as a great cocktail list. We will be back there soon.

Went to Chez Ma Tante for New Years Eve. Was not informed that the menu would be Pre Fixe beforehand, but was pleased with the set menu for the night. I would suggest the restaurant getting a few coat hooks since we had to place ours on the backs of our seats. We were seated next to a window which seemed fine at first but less so around the middle of the first course of a freezing night! Service was lovely which a very friendly and attentive waitress and house staff who made sure our water and wine glasses were never empty. Food service was also quick and efficient. Food was great. Complimentary oysters and champagne were included as a starter. Stracciatella cheese with kale and mushrooms was creamy, earthly and delightful. Steak au poivre was made with a Wagyu cut which was tender, peppery and indulgent. This was served with crispy french fries piping hot and straight out of the fryer. Chocolate cake for dessert was rich and a nice ending note.
