When we arrived we were greeted warmly and with a smile, got a table then drinks. We ordered food with a little wait which was not a problem at all as the food was plentiful and very hot, great gravy. Great to see dogs are welcome inside too.

We went to The Chestnut Tree in West Wratting for the first time , on the recommendation from a friend, for Sunday lunch. I was told that there had been a recent change of chef but the Sunday roasts we had were well-presented and tasty. Sadly, a number of the main course dishes were unavailable but this did not affect our selection. The young waiter was very attentive and we received a warm welcome. The dining area is small but pleasant. The selection of drinks was good too. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and we may well return for another lunchtime meal.

As it was our first week, we underestimated the demand, hence a number of main dishes weren't available. We're working hard to remedy this.
