   We were excited to visit this restaurant and traveled from north of Edmonton to enjoy a nice day with our family. Had a reservation for 6. Let the host know that there could be a 7th. We were told it wouldn't be a problem, however when the other half of our reservation arrived, there was no help in finding a chair and no one to assist. Not sure were the host went. Water and coffee were difficult to get, as well as refills despite being asked a number of times for the jug of water to be refilled. My mom kept her jacket on, as the dining area is open concept. Every time the door opened a draft would chill her. She ended up eating her her meal with her jacket on. While we waited for the other half of our party, we ordered a dish to tide us over. One of the wait staff informed us a few moments later that the Chef did not have time to make it, then walked away. To be fair, they may have asked if there was something else, but I was to surprised and had chosen that item before arriving, based on the online menu. Close to 20 minutes later, a different server stopped by, as we flagged her down to order something else from one of the menu's. The dishes from the shared plate, remained on the table for the entirety of our main course, so things got a little crowded, despite seeing one of the servers carrying a child around the restaurant. Finally had our food served after a bit of confusion. One of our party ordered hollandaise and was informed when their dish arrived that there wasn't any hollandaise, and was offered ketchup. Paying for the meals were also confusing, as the server left the card reader with one person at the table and did not return. We had to flag someone down to assist us, so the last bill could be settled before we left.

   Thank you JJ for this detailed review. You have also left 2 reviews on google, so you have been heard ;) I was your server and the proud owner of the bistro along with my husband Chef David. I particularly enjoyed chatting with your mother, who was very kind and complimented me on the service and excellent food. The baby is my grandson and was there because my daughter came in and saw us struggling and pitched in to help. We are a mom & pop restaurant, everything is made from scratch(including the hollandaise sauce). Sunday was amazing with double our normal business! We sincerely hope you will stop by again when passing through the area. Just message us through opentable or facebook and we will ensure you are well taken care of.    Outstanding!! The food was delicious and I love the ambiance at this place. Servers are above and beyond (which seems rare these days). The only reason I noted a higher noise level was a toddler screaming at their table for about the first 10 minutes we were there, but she was likely overtired, and not much the restaurant can do about that. I feel very fortunate to have such a great restaurant local to where we live! Absolutely will be back! Highly recommend!

   We have been to this restaurant many times and are never disappointed. The quality of the food is outstanding. It is a gem in this rural town.
