   We came for the food and ambience for a romantic Valentine’s day dinner and got neither. The full menu was not available, which was disappointing. The wait staff began a loud argument and fight between them which pierced through any ambiance and French music. The chef came out of the kitchen to see what was going on. The kitchen looked untidy. We got up and left with no one offering us water or a drink or even coming to check on us as we put our coats on a walked out. I heard the food is good but we will never know because we’ll never go back. Ruined our Valentine’s Day.

   Very weird experience. Something odd about getting a valentines day menu printed in front of you, with most of the menu items being more Italian than French. The only good thing was the tea service.

   Delightful place and charming but having one waitress for all the tables is not cool. We will try going back at a different time and see how it goes

   Nice to be able to talk without having to yell to be heard and no tv’s are a winner. The background French music is just enough. Just love this restaurant.

   Chat Noir never disappoints. The ambience feels special and that's why I save it for special occasions. We shared a basket of scones and pot of tea to start and could have stopped there. There were chocolate chip, butterscotch chip, white chocolate chip, and berry scones - so many that the two of us had four to bring home. Each one was delicious as was the tea. We shared a turkey, goat cheese, and cranberry compote sandwich, with a side salad; the sandwich was on a lovely brioche roll. The server was busy - I believe someone on staff was late - but couldn't have been nicer. We can't wait until next time.

   We had a delicious dinner at Chat Noir. Appetizers. Mushroom & spinach crepes & French onion soup were delicious. Main courses crab cakes and duck le orange was cooked perfectly. Our server. Rachel, was very friendly and attentive., she made excellent suggestions and recommendations. We will definitely be back.

    We went for an early dinner before a concert at Molloy College. The menu is interesting with lots of both light and heavier dishes. The portions are large. We will definitely return to try their high tea.
