   My date and I had the same meal(prime rib,mashed potatoes). I had the chop salad which was good and my date loved the cream of crab soup. The calamari was delicious and our drinks(lemon drop)was perfect. The ambiance is always nice, especially if you sit by the window. Our waitress was very attentive and everyone we came in contact with was so pleasant. Customer service all around thumbs up! Thank you!

   The food choices were very limited, one page menu. They do not have any options for children. There was one pasta dish that sounded kid friendly that was a part of the $55 course dinner that I asked if we could just purchase the pasta for the kids, and I was told no we cant do that. The food was very expensive and bland, and portions were small. It is a gorgeous restaurant inside and the ambiance is wonderful, but the food is lacking. I would not go back. No one from our party of 5 were happy with our food.

   Food was delicious. Service was a little slow and they didn’t have my favorite breakfast bread (cranberry) for the second week in a row. 😟

   This was a terrible experience. I made a reservation 2 months in advance for a special occasion, which I indicated on the reservation. Our table of 5 was seated at a table meant for 4 people tucked in the corner of the restaurant. We asked for a different, appropriately sized table and though the hostess tried to help, we were ultimately told that groups of 4-6 all get sat at the same sized table. Our waitress was pleasant, but left us for long stretches. Our meal took over 2.5 hours because of this. The reason I rate chart house so poorly is because as we were leaving, our witness followed us to the front door and asked why we didn’t leave a bigger tip. I was completely shocked as we paid 15%. I’m sure she wanted more, but I thought it was ridiculous that she confronted us. I would literally never go back to this restaurant. From start to finish, I didn’t feel taken care of at all.

   The salad bar is back! I was a happy person. The food, ambience, etc. was really good. The boat parade made for even more ambience. While the server was very knowledgeable, friendly and professional, he was slow. To his defense, many tables got there around the same time and had big orders but he should have been given some assistance.

   Great family experience! Beautiful setting and delicious food and drinks. Our waiter, Paul, was helpful and very friendly. We will be back!

    We had an early dinner around 5pm on a Wednesday night so it was nice and quiet at that time of day. We sat in the area next to the fireplace on a cold windy day so that made it nice and cozy. We ordered a shrimp, advacado and mango stacker for an appetizer and it was delicious. I just wish they would bring back the crab in place of the shrimp. (They switched to shrimp when crab became more expensive.) We both ordered the sea bass and had it grilled. It was done to perfection. They were also very helpful to avoid any dairy for my wife since she's lactose intolerant. The dessert menu is very limited. Only the lava cake and sorbet. I have a slight issue with the pre-dinner "smoked" old fashion. I believe it was $26. The method they used to "smoke" the drink didn't really infuse the bourbon. The burning wood chips did fill the immediate area with a nice aroma but didn't do much for the drink. I wouldn't get that again especially at that price. With that said, we will be back again. It's one of our favorite places to dine when we are in Old Town Alexandria.
