The quality and price point is unbeatable- Jinsei Motto has the BEST assortment of HGH quality options for fish in all of Chicago! We have recently moved from Southern California to Chicago & have been searching high and low for amazing sushi in the city & were so lucky to stumble upon jinsei motto - we can’t stay away! it’s one of the only places you can find an amazing crispy rice and delicious otoro- there are tons of sushi places in the area but no one does it as well as jinsei… we have tried them all! everyone who works there is welcoming and happy- you can tell they enjoy their job, and I don’t blame them! We were lucky enough to be sat by Andrew on our first visit (who I think is one of the owners) and he truly is the kindest person- he went out of his way to make us feel welcomed and special. every time we have been back he makes it a point to touch our table and say hello - this is in an old distillery and that adds to the ambiance of the restaurant. The atmosphere here is fabulous. It is an incredible dining experience from start to finish. Can’t recommend it enough!

The chefs are brilliant. You absolutely need to go Omakase. The marinades, the subtle garnishes, the presentation — wow. I’ve eaten here half a dozen times and every time I’ve been blown away. I’m used to big city sushi in LA in Tokyo and this stuff hangs right in there with the best of them. Gochisousama deshita!!!💪🏼🙏❤️🇯🇵🎏
