We paid 4 the thank giving menus. And add lobster and prime rib. The menu was very very poor, the testing was bad and the portions were very small. About the lobster was simple and testing bad and the prime rib come with patatoes with no sal and the meet with no flavor. We spend about 1200 dls or more. You are the best restaurant in the Islam and think you are the expensive one and the really really bad restaurant. The chef have to do something about this because the food is really bad.

Excuisite Thanksgiving Day Special Tasting Menu. Added Lobster and Crispy Garlic Fried Rice. The Sousvide Turkey with Gravy and Dressing was wounderful. The Sushi Starter, Scallops, and the enitre, plating, service, and presentation was everything you would want or ask for at a seaside table in Kona on the most beautiful pristine setting you can imagine... But I have pics so you can actually see it!

The food was very good to excellent, as we have come to expect from the Canoe House. For whatever reason, the service was well below expectations on this visit. One of four entrees just never appeared until we flagged down our waiter Ian, who saw that it was finally prepared and served. The Maitre’d emphatically apologized and generously adjusted the check.

The food was good but not as good as the Moana at Kona Village, another farm-to-table restaurant with comparable pricing. We had raw oysters with uni, raw scallops with ikura, radish salad with salmon skin, wagyu tataki, wagyu with coffee rub, kampachi, and garlic fried rice. The best dishes were the wagyu tataki and wagyu with coffee rub. The worst dish was the radish salad with salmon skin. A huge pile of spiralized radish with disgusting mayonnaise dressing. It should be removed from the menu. The kampachi was very unappetizing. It looked like something that washed up on the beach and it was tough and dry. Garlic fried rice was more like a risotto, very soggy rice. The raw oysters and scallops flavors weren't exciting. The dessert menu was not appealing. The ambiance was excellent. Beautiful views. Service was friendly.

We were greeted after sitting at our table for 10 minutes and had to ask about menu and specials. Experience felt cold and as if you were just another number. Food was decent but very overpriced which I would expect to be made up in the service and that wasn’t the case.
