We had the pleasure of dining at Camper with an out-of-town guest, and every time he took a bite, the conversation would just stop—every dish was that good. We started with Miyagi Oysters, fresh and bright with a touch of ume vinegar and kumquats. The DiStefano Burrata was creamy and paired beautifully with grilled asparagus and smoked mushrooms that was dressed with a sauce/dressing that could have made us lick our plates but we showed restraint. The Tuna Crudo was clean and fresh.. The surprise of the appetizers was the Grilled Local Squid Salad—tender squid with avocado, mustard greens, and just the right amount of heat. It was absolutely delicious. We shared everything family-style because we all wanted a taste of everything. The Kimchi Fried Rice with Mushrooms and Yuzu Furikake wasd delightfullly unexpected —the crispy bits of socarrat and layered flavors were unlike anything we have had. The Dungeness Crab Spaghetti was creamy but balanced, and the English Pea Agnolotti tasted like spring. The Herb Gnocchi Parisienne was rich, comforting, and full of flavor in every bite. And while we do not usually order halibut, the Potato-Crusted Halibut was a surprise favorite—perfectly seasoned and cooked with a crisp texture that made it feel almost fried, without being heavy. For dessert, the Caramelized Milk Jam Pudding was among one of the best bites of the night—rich, silky, and so good our guest’s eyes literally widened at the first taste. “Let me bathe in this please” he said. And of course, the Pistachio Ice Cream remains a familyfavorite. Camper is one of those restaurants where even the most classic-sounding dishes arrive with something a little unexpected—in the best way. Fantastic service, fresh ingredients, the creative flavor combinations, and consistently beautiful presentation and execution make it a place we always look forward to coming back to.

Loved our experience at camper. It’s been over 2 years since we went last and I found myself asking why we haven’t been back earlier. Their fish entrees never disappoint

My mother and I dined at Camper for the first time Thursday night. We travel to the area a few times a year and I wanted to find a nice place for us to have dinner. We loved Camper. We sat outside on a lovely spring evening, the weather was perfect. The heaters were there but did not need them. We saw them offer blankets to other guests but we did not need those either. The service was spectacular, the staff all were very friendly and knowledgeable. Now to the food, our meal was excellent, great flavors cooked perfectly. All made for a lovely evening.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! Camper has completely reimagined the classics--and every bite is a reminder of how exciting and fresh brunch should be. The Smoked Trout Salad was a surprise standout. One bite in, and I felt compelled to take another bite, and another bite... It is a creative play on potato salad with layers of new textures and flavors--bright, savory, and addictive! The Breakfast Steam Buns were another clever twist--fluffy bao filled with savory sausage and egg, with pickled cucumber and mint cutting through beautifully. Balanced, bold, memorable and delicious! The Buttermilk Pancake Double-Stack was cloud-like yet chewy at the same time. Paired with chamomile honey butter, it added just enough floral sweetness. The Shakshuka Verde was fresh and herbaceous, with the tomatillo and green garlic bringing brightness to the warm, comforting base. This is a cold day comfort meal order. And then--the Roasted Apple-Cinnamon Roll. Imagine apple pie and a cinnamon roll had a perfect child. One bite and I was completely blown away. Every dish felt thoughtful and new. Chef Marcus has brought real creativity to the brunch table, and I cannot wait to come back next weekend, and bring all my friends!

Took my best friend to Camper for her birthday and had a great brunch! Staff was great and food was awesome. Everyone made a point to acknowledge her birthday. It was such a great time. A dinner with family over the holidays was equally a great meal. Camper is my favorite restaurant in menlo park.
