I dined here for the first time to celebrate my husband’s birthday with my mother in law. It was all of our first time at Cafe d’Alsace. The food was nothing short of amazing. For appetizers we got steak tartar, terrine de canard and homemade gnocchi. The gnocchi was so good we got a second bowl to share. I got the Grilled Scottish Salmon, my husband got Steak Frites (the fries are amazing!) and my MIL got Canard A L’Orange which was very tender and cooked to perfection. Apart from the food the staff was wonderful as well!

On Saturday night my husband and i went to celebrate our 27th anniversary and enjoying Restaurant Week for the first time. We were received with a glass of Prosecco and that set the tone. Our food was delicious and our server Benny was great. Personable without being intrusive. We look forward to coming back and try their a la carte menu.

Went here for restaurant week-HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT The food was absolutely disgusting. The seafood sausage was inedible, salad was sub par, and the flavor on the mussels was atrocious. The beef was average. The only delicious food they had was the butter the bread was paired with, the French fries, and the pear tart for dessert. I will never go back to this restaurant really really disappointing and gross food. Also the chair was horribly uncomfortable. I had been here for dinner about two and half years ago and the food was incredible then…not sure what fell off.

Four of us went to try for Restaurant Week. In general, we enjoyed the experience. Although the good was good to very good in general, it is difficult to rate because of unexpected preparations and tastes. For example, bacon in the corn chowder - not being indicated on the menu. Due to limited options, I tired the potato/goat cheese appetizer, and it was basically good although I am not a fan of pesto or olives (but like to try new tastes). Service was good and my request for a table in a quiet location was honored. We were seated in the far corner of the back room where noise level was at most moderate. The front room would have been impossible. We were satisfied enough so that we plan to return and make more specific selections from the regular men y.

Had a nice, leisurely Restaurant Week lunch. Really enjoyed the moules and especially the frites. Friends enjoyed the beef and the other the duck. Had not been to the new location so was a good time to check out this neighborhood gem. Will return.
