Clark and Schwenk, friends over the years, discussed starting a place of their own and traded ideas over what the menu would be like. Finally, at the beginning of 2007, they felt ready to strike out on their own and made that vision happen. “I looked around Atlanta and saw a need for a really good old-school restaurant,” Clark says. That restaurant would become C&S Oyster Bar, specializing in classic New York and Paris brasserie-style cuisine. Clark possesses a passion for French cuisine and claims that it comes from the French’s appreciation for balance. Their focus on vegetables, fish, and meat as the primary vehicles of flavor allow for emphasis to be placed on the freshness of the ingredients.

We have dined at all three C&S locations. We’ve found the food quality is consistently delicious across all locations. This was our first time at the Brookhaven location. The service was superb and Dayvion extremely personable.

We sat in a booth along side the bar and the noise was umbearable. Dayvin was our server and as always he is top notch The food was very good and we really enjoyed it. Chef Zan Malik also greeted us and commented on the additions to the menu (red fish).

We celebrated a birthday recently at C&S. There were some highs and lows. Lows: every other oyster (raw) had shell in them. Highs: Brandy was an amazing server. She was very attentive, very knowledgeable on the menu, and overall wonderful. Would love to have her again
