It was a good place but out of oysters, out of the wine we wanted, long wait for our wine (pretty sure they forgot about it), dirty glasses brought with wine that needed replacing, but still a good experience. Seems like they were overwhelmed

We had a lovely dinner at this up and coming restaurant. The drinks were festive and the steaks were tasty. The Brussels sprouts were my favorite. I do like that they are apparently farm to fork / local.

So fantastic!! Went for 4th Anniversary. Got to sit at a special table. Menu said Happy Anniversay at the top. Michael, the Manager, was very welcoming, and Damian, our Server, was on top of everything without being intrusive. Steak and scallops were AMAZING!!! Definitely will be back.

We had picked this restaurant for our trip to Sacramento because of all the reviews on Facebook, Our table for our reservation was ready when we arrived. We however were seated in a cold drafty table at the end of a hallway. Our waiter was very nice and attentive. The three of us ordered our food. In a few minutes the waiter came back to say they had no romaine lettuce for a Caesar salads and offered to break up a wedge salad to make the Caesar salad with (yuk). So my dining companion ordered a baked potato instead. A few minutes later the manager came back to say they had no baked potatoes. We wholeheartedly expressed our displeasure with how an upscale restaurant could be run and managed. We ended up getting comped our drinks. Will not be back ever.

Our server and appetizers were great. However, the New York steak came completely unseasoned. The cook and cut were perfect, but it was the blandest steak I had ever had. I was disappointed because I had heard suck great things about Butcher & Barrel. Maybe an evening experience may be different. After we let our server know about the steak, someone came to our table and inquired more. He then said that next time we should just ask for salt to be brought to the table. I’m my experience, a good steak should not need table salt. Such a bummer.

All the employees here were super friendly. It was slow when I arrived, but the people started rolling in and the place was buzzing. I had the dry aged ribeye which was cooked to perfection. The bone marrow was really tasty too and they have an excellent cocktail menu. Will be back

The owner, Kevin, was the first person to greet our group as we arrived. He was gracious, kind and welcoming. Our server, CC, was patient, friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and filling. The boysenberry margarita was very tasty. On a side note, the house made sparkling water was delicious. While we didn’t get the tomahawk steak we did see two other tables get it and the presentation was fascinating to watch. Definitely a bucket list meal plan for the future. Butcher & Barrel is by far the best steakhouse I have ever been to in my 57 years of life.
