Once a bastion of elegance, Buonasera was a special occasion table, a refined dining experience. We returned last night for such an occasion after nearly three years away. Our table was positioned near the kitchen entrance/exit even though the restaurant was not full. We have always loved that this restaurant had “right-sized” portions served on lovely plateware. The food preparation and execution were what made this restaurant as popular as it was for many years. Not so now. Refinement has given way to quantity. Large portions of good but not special foods are heaped on plates and bowls that accommodate the volume. The prices are high- veal chop at $69. for instance, and we 7 spent over 1100. with most of us having pasta for dinner. Buonasera is good for some though not for us. Arrivederci Bunoasera!

The matrix D was obnoxious and he and I’ve been there many times and I love the place, but the only should know that this guy is an arrogant person

Food, service outstanding. The salad and appetizers were works of art and flavor. The salmon was ordinary, but what can even a great chef do? Large tables of very loud customers, placed next to more intimate tables made conversations at those lesser tables impossible

One of our favorite restaurants - a neighborhood gem. We sat outside on a chilly night (they have heaters) and it was really nice. The service is A+++ and the food is delicious. We had the carbonara as an appetizer and the Bronzino and Veal Scallopine for dinner - all AMAZING. Highly recommend this great restaurant!
