Buona Forchetta started in 2011 as a craving of Matteo’s to bring some of his native Italy to our adopted home of South Park. We found the perfect corner and built the perfect oven. Since then, we’ve strived to deliver an exceptional and authentic Italian experience to our customers keeping our focus on the simple recipes that Matteo grew up on. We owe a huge “grazie” to our neighbors who have joined us on this awesome journey, and we hope that you will continue to be part of our story.

It’s loved by the area’s families for kid-friendly touches: Pasta dishes can be ordered in smaller portions, and the restaurant’s Liberty Station location has two play areas, plus a vintage red Fiat converted into a dining table.

Food was good, came out 2 minutes after ordering which was weird, since it’s not a fast food joint, nothing outstanding, had a dish with black italian truffle with little to no flavor and texture. The place looks unattended and dirty, probably lacks regular maintenance. I started going there probably 7-8 years ago, and it seems to me that their glory days are done. The service from the weight staff was regular, nothing special, they make you feel like they don’t want you there

The food was overpriced for what it was. The pizza was soggy like the bread wasn’t cooked long enough. This chefs special some “meatballs “were burnt with a weird flavor. Pasta was the saver of the experience. Not worth a $150 meal for two

Starter dishes were good but pasta mains were not. Pasta was overcooked and sauces like nothing we had tasted before. We opted for carbonara and cacio e Pepe and neither sauce tasted like any other plate of pasta we had tasted before. Typically these would be quite dry sauces but our plates were sloppy.

The food was amazing!!! So many people came to eat for dinner, but even though it was super crowded they kept the tables moving. With that said the wait staff was very friendly. They weren’t outright rude or anything, but not welcoming. They didn’t check on us much and when we had a request they gave as a blown off type response, however did fulfill it eventually. Like I said the place was busy, clean, and comfortable otherwise. Would come again for the food but most likely take out next time.

I celebrated my birthday with my husband, son, and our son's fiance. We started with and shared two appetizers, the artichokes and burrata caprese. The artichokes were lemony and beyond delicious, and the burrata cheese for the caprese was fresh and creamy! Our entrees were the special-of-the-day spinach ravioli, mushroom/beef risotto, sausage gnocchi, and margherita wood-fired pizza. We all thoroughly enjoyed each item that we ordered! My son's fiancee and I each enjoyed a glass of chianti that was as smooth as velvet! Our dinner tab came to $200, which was amazing for all the food, drink and enjoyment we experienced!
