   The staff were friendly but the service was so slow that after an hour we had eaten only two scallops. We were not the only table waiting. The music was so loud it was like being at a concert instead of out for lunch. Talking was not easy so we had obviously chosen the wrong restaurants we wanted to meet and chat, which we did. I can’t comment much on the food not have had much but the scallops I did have were nicely cooked and prepared. Eventually voted with my feet and the restaurant did not charge me at all which was good though I would have preferred to have paid and got what I wanted. I won’t be repeating the experience.

   Within an hour standing outside. Lady was not very kind. Food was not that special. Expensive, paying for the name.

   Lovely meal, our waiter was very attentive. We loved all the Christmas decorations too!

   Steer clear .. the chief needs to walk away from the Salt pot .. salt covered everything … rename it Bread BIN !! Fking Awful

   Although staff were pleasant, I had to request to have the table cleaned as there was hardened food in it, not even an apology. Then the bill was put on the table when still drinking although finished eating. Then appeared with card machine asking if I needed it. Felt like we were being rushed out! Fools was lovely but expensive for what it is.

   A lukewarm reception as I don’t think the gentleman who booked us in and took our menus uttered a single world to us when we arrived. He just collected the menus from their storage shelf and headed for the table. Not to worry though as (spoiler alert!) the food was excellent! It’s also fair to say he warmed up once we were seated and looked after us well. Overall I’d say this was a very enjoyable evening. We went for the Festive Set Menu which is terrific value! The portion sizes were generous too. My wife’s turkey was thick, juicy and flavourful and my Flat Iron Steak was perfect. A five star experience, just a pity about the blasé welcome.

    Have to post my experience today. I walked up at 2pm and asked for a table for 1 and was turned away. After watching other groups of 2 being seated, I made a reservation for 5 mins later and walked back in. The second woman working the host stand did sincerely apologize, but when the same woman that turned me away came to take me to my table, she was mumbling excuses. Just apologize, so embarrassing.
