   If I could give a negative rating I would!! NOT an upscale restaurant AT ALL!!! Came from out of town & picked this place as the hotel we stayed at recommended it. Made a reservation & upon arrival the hostess did not greet us or even look in our direction even though we were standing 3 feet in front of the hostess stand. Once seated, we ordered 2 mixed drinks & they took 15-20 mins to bring them, they were watered down & were not worth $16 each. We took 2-3 sips each & moved them to the side of the table. We Ordered the calamari- it was absolutely disappointing, & disgusting to say the least. Completely overcooked & rubbery. Both me & my partner had to spit out the one bite we took. I picked up another piece & tried to pull it apart & it legitimately would not even break. I have had 10x better Calamari at a BAR!! It was as if it was a rubber band. For our entree we ordered the shrimp Fra Diavolo. It looked & tasted like hamburger helper. The shrimp looked like it wasn’t fully cooked & didn’t look fresh. At this point, our waiter went ahead & had informed the manager who was only going to take off the food from the bill & insisted we pay for the alcoholic beverages that we took 2 sips out of. We love KC & trying new places but we DO NOT recommend this restaurant & will never be returning.

   I think I was just expecting more. That is, I had my expectation set high, high for the quality of food, and probably the diversity in menu. It seems there were few choices, as far as on the healthier side, and very pricey for the quality of food. Very kind servers.

   The red sangria was not a sangria but a mixed drink. It tasted like watered down lightly flavored sugar water, no fruit as stated, no vodka as stated. For $17 tax and tip, it was completely unacceptable.

    Party of 7. Told them we were celebrating an Anniversary. Never acknowledged that. Two of us order the lobster bisque, asked to have it before our entree. Never brought it. Twice someone other than our server brought food over that we did not order. Server didn’t even apologize for not bringing the bisque before the entree. The restaurant was not busy. We could see him visiting with another server. Trying to get his attention to get the bisque. There are so many fabulous restaurants in the Kansas City area. Won’t be back to Bravo.
